I did quite a bit of research before pressing the buy button on this filter system. Not going to lie, the price is super outrageous but it is heavy duty. Many of the filters I found either had reviews saying they leaked, were not effctive, or just didn't work. This filter system came with nothing but glowing reviews. Many of the reviews on youtube were based on the larger sized system, but I found quite a few regarding this one and they all were positive. Based on those reviews and the filters that come with it, I pressed the buy button. First, this is a very well made filter and the stand is super heavy duty. The blue canisters are also super heavy duty. The filters looked and performed quite well, and we stayed at some sites with questionable water. I had the camp site water go through these filters then into the city hook up. For drinking water, I have a waterdrop under sink filter and uv filter. Water tasted fine and I really had zero concerns about water quality with the this filter system even without the waterdrop and uv as added protection. However, even as heavy duty as this filter is, it leaked. Constantly leaked. The fittings where the hoses attached constantly leaked no matter how secure the hoses were. I even made sure the water pressure coming from each campsite was low (below 40) and it still leaked. If it leaked from the actual hose connection I would think it was a gasket issue, but it leaked from the back of the fittings right before the fitting enters the housing. I tried to just do a replacement but it wasn't offered so I returned it and bought another one. Hopefully it wont leak, but my issue is now with the new return/restocking fee. Just worried I'm going to end up paying a huge restocking fee for something that is defective. Makes you really question buying something like this when it is as expensive as it is. You just don't know if it works or not without testing it, but when you test it then it has been used and subject to a restocking fee or partial refund. If the new one doesn't leak, I will upgrade the star ratings.

I would have loved to go with the bigger system but went with the mini because it seemed to still be spec’ed well and would work. I use it full-time in my RV and have dealt with water pressure issues. I first started noticing it a few months into using it and when I removed the virus guard filter the water pressure was restored. I bought a new filter set because I was at the 2 month time frame and I started dealing with low water pressure again today only two weeks after replacing the filters… I pulled the virus guard filter off and the water pressure is restored. I like the idea of the virus guard but I’m not interested in spending that much on replacement filters.
