Very pleased
For my Samsung model the audio optical output is not actually optical, i.e., its an electrical signal not an optical signal. This 3.5mm plub turns the audio signal into an optical signal. An adapter like this came with the TV, but of course it was lost by time I needed it. The device worked perfectly.

Fit My Samsung LCD LED
This adapter (but from another manufacturer) originally came with my samsung led tv, but I think I threw it out. I found this replacement and although pricey, fixed my issue of connecting my soundbar to my optical input.

Perect adapter for Samsung proprietary to Standard Optical Audio Cable..
These older Samsung TVs have a strange optical audio connection similar to a mini-stereo earphone connection. For that reason...I never used it to connect to the sound bar. I happen to see this adapter and ordered it. It worked PERFECT!
