Product works as advertised. Sometimes the alarm seems too sensitive, but I would rather it be too sensitive than not sensitive enough. The alarm is quite loud and can be heard down the hall so that we can get to my 83 year old mother's room quick enough to help her up and make sure she doesn't fall. She has neuropathy, gout, high blood pressure (along with several other ailments) and is a fall risk. I coupled this bed alarm with a wireless camera so that when I hear the beeping, I can quickly check the camera to see if she is just turning over or trying to get up. I helps me relax knowing that I will know when she needs help.

My dad was not abke to stand by himself but would try to get out of bed by himself. This product was a lifesaver, literally. It was easy to install and use. Just took me a few minutes to set it up and was ready to use. The alarm was loud enough we could hear from the livingroom. It was easy to transfer to his chair when he wanted to sit in his recliner. He had a bad fall before we got this product but once we started using it we had no more worries or ER visits.

Perfect for the bed for my Mom. She gets off the pad and it goes off. Can hear the beeping from 2 rooms down. Can sleep better knowing when she gets up, especially during the night. Haven’t tried it on a chair but I’m sure it will work as well. Love it!

This bed exit alarm is simple to use and functions fairly well. The alarm pad seems to be very good. The controller is a bit out-of-date and uses very old technology. Most of all, the alarm is high pitched, which may be fine for young nurses, but is a challenge for older caregivers. Setup is straight forward. As far as I can tell, there is no silent way to de-activate the alarm before assisting the patient in exiting the bed. Also, it would be helpful to have a visual indicator of status, rather than depending on depressing the control button and waiting for four beeps. In summary, it works, but is pretty rudimentary.

Alarm works very well for a full sized adult of normal weight. Did not work for adult who weighs only 90 pounds.

Excellent alert. Notifies caregivers when my mother is about to try leaving her bed. Has stopped her many falls out of bed. Great device, well worth the cost.

I am very disappointed in this product. I purchased this in mid September. My grandfather who I take care of who requires 24 hour care tries to get out of bed by himself at night. I now have to order something else because this product has already died on me. I changed the batteries 2 times and the alarm went off on its own last night and woke my grandfather and myself up! He was in the bed sleeping!! Needless to say i will not be purchasing another one of these alarms. Wiring is faulty and only lasted a little less than a month.

The alarm does not go off unless someone is sitting/laying on it. So, when no one is on it, the alarm is non stop. Not happy about this. I got 2. One for the bed and one for the recliner. This means at least one will be non stop alarm going off. No way to stop it unless you take the battery out. That is not easy or quick.
