Wisdom In The Body: The Craniosacral Approach to Essential Health Paperback – 1 Aug. 2005

Finally finished reading this brilliant and enlightening book. Took me long enough with all the other books I am reading at same time as part of my Craniosacral course . LOL.Also started listening to James Jealous audios lectures as Michael reference his work a few times .This is one of the best books on craniosacral out there. Good bibliography and references section to enable to reader to continue their own research.The language is simple, succinct and Michael uses words aptly to convey the wonder of this beautiful work in a poetic sense....Cant wait for his next book....

This book is fantastic. Really clear, well laid out and a lovely intro into the field. I have read a lot of texts on the subject and this one stands out. The glue is failing as it has been so well read!

WOW! MIND BLOWING AND WONDERFUL KNOWLEDGE RE MECHANISMS OF HOW THE INFINITE INTELLIGENDEWORKS IN OUR PHYSICL BEING. RATHER TOO MUCH ANATOMY DETAIL FOR LAY PEOPLE, BUT ONE CAN SKIP THAT AND STUDYALL THE SAME. THANKS MICHAEL KERN.

I have to say i do not usually get around to reviewing books but this book is so good i had to let people know. I have studied CranioSacral therapy with the Upledger Institute and have read Upledgers books CranioSacral therapy and beyond the dura and found them very informative but also quite heavy going. Michael Kerns book is a fantastic read full of great info on The subject of CranioSacral therapy it is very informative whilst also being easy to read it is a great book to read together with Upledgers, highly recomended.

As a student of Craniosacral therapy, I am in love with this book. The concepts and definitions are very profound and insightful. It has helped me a lot in my study and practice of CST. I recommend that every student of craniosacral therapy spud own this book for all references. Even if you not a student, it is brilliant book to understand what is craniosacral therapy and the science behind it.

I couldn't have put it better than the last reviewer. This is by far, my favorite book that I've read on the subject of Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy. Kern has an amazing ability to put things into laymans terms, and because of that, this book is an incredible joy to read. Franklyn Sills, while a brilliant mind, doesn't really know how to break it down into terms a common person can understand. Upledger, who is clinically and medically gifted, also tends to overcomplicate the subject of cranialsacral work in his writings. Pick this book up, it's a must as a starting point.

I would have to say that this is the best written and understandable book on biodynamic craniosacral therapy. There can be a lot of jargon and new language in this type of work and Michael Kern manages quite well avoiding doing that. He makes work that can be difficult to describe because it is subtle, very approachable and you will finish the book actually really getting what biodynamic craniosacral therapy is all about. No one has written a book so clearly that I know of as of yet.I would highly recommend this book.
