It's a great radio but pay attention to everything that you purchase.

Desde que compré el radio Radtel RT-880, he quedado muy satisfecho. Realmente se siente como un dispositivo sólido, con gran valor por lo que ofrece. ⸻ 👍 Lo que más me gusta • Gran cobertura de bandas: Soporta muchas frecuencias (HF, VHF, UHF, SW, etc.), lo que permite usarlo tanto para radioaficionados como para comunicaciones más generales.  • Potencia decente + repetidor cross-band: Tiene salida de 10W, lo que le da buen alcance, y además se puede usar función de repetidor cross-band para mejorar la cobertura en situaciones complicadas.  • Pantalla color de buen tamaño: La pantalla de 2.4 pulgadas muestra bien los datos, es fácil de leer incluso con luz intensa.  • Batería duradera: batería recargable de 2400mAh que aguanta bastante tiempo de uso normal.  • Construcción robusta: Se nota que tiene buen cuerpo, materiales bien puestos, no parece un aparato frágil.

First off, the programming software is a ZERO! As with many of the Chinese radios on the market, the software is key to your overall perceived experience with a radio. I hope that one day, this can use the ever user friendly Chirp for programming and sharing of a freq list with many radio's. Until then, it is doing it the hard way. The radio build quality is EXCELLENT. it is a metal body and feels very sturdy in your hand. You know that you are holding something of decent quality. Second, this is a great functional radio for the price. Here in CLT, I use 220 when I can and this radio delivers on the 220 spectrum. I use 220 when at Hamfests as no one uses it, so that spectrum is always quiet. In addition to the above, I use this for 2m and 440 ham bands, but also use this for GMRS frequency ranges. This unit delivers on all of the bands that I use on a regular basis. AM delivers decent quality audio for the Air band. I have yet to test on USB or LSB bands, but will be testing this in the near future. Battery life is very good as I used it for about 4 days of monitoring with checking into a net nightly. I live the ability to charge via the drop-in charger or via the USB-C charging port, which also doubles as a programming port. One of the "Gimmicky" types of things in the radio.....I uploaded my Jackpot Gringo PNG logo to personalize the radio and it actually displayed it with no problem, once properly resized. No doubt who owns it now.

Plagued with Bugs. Major bugs. Impossible to program. Firmware updates will brick the radio. Every aspect of this radio is subpar. Receive is embarassing. If it receives at all. Advertised power is nowhere even close to advertised. I’m no new chicken to radio. This one takes the cake. Smh. Google it 1st. You’ll see

Is this the right radio for a radio amateur? Depends on how amateur; and how well an amateur wants to read into descriptions. Let's get into a few plain English facts. This radio is 110% FM receive and transmit. Not FM + AM, not FM + SSB (USB or LSB). There are frequencies and separate antenna ports (and optional loop-style antennas) available that can RECEIVE ON AM and SSB, but not transmit. With that being said... This is a great start/continuation for Radtel in their line of radios. The screen is clear, big and bright. The in-radio menu system is.... "Complete", but for full radio usage, it does require their PC/Windows software for channel programming and anything more than straight-up VFO usage. The included radio manual is sparse, at best; and no manual for the software. (ALWAYS make backups and save radio settings before writing anything new.) If you're looking for a feature-rich FM RX/TX radio, this is a decent choice - but NOT the only choice available to really to the same thing. At $80+, it's not a beginner's radio; it's bonus features over other radios really are for more niche'd advanced users. works great for uhf/vhf still cant get to the other bands after a month it has many issues each week they put out another firmware update that seems to fix one thing but breaks another

Dopo anni di utilizzo dei classici Baofeng, ho deciso di provare questo Radtel RT-880 e devo dire che il salto di qualità è evidente fin dal primo contatto. Non è la solita radio economica "usa e getta", ma un apparato che trasmette solidità. ​Ecco i punti chiave dopo una settimana di test intensivi: ​1. Ricarica USB-C (La svolta): Finalmente possiamo dire addio alle ingombranti basette da tavolo. La possibilità di caricare la batteria direttamente con un cavo USB-C (lo stesso del telefono o del tablet) rende questa radio perfetta per il trekking e le emergenze. Potete caricarla in auto o con un powerbank ovunque vi troviate. ​2. Display e Usabilità: Il display a colori è nitido e ben organizzato. A differenza degli schermi monocromatici vecchio stile, qui le informazioni sono chiare anche sotto la luce del sole. Il menu è intuitivo, anche se consiglio sempre l'uso di un cavo di programmazione per gestire i 256 canali disponibili. ​3. Potenza e Ricezione: Il produttore dichiara 10W. Realisticamente, con un misuratore di potenza, si attestano circa 7.5W - 8W effettivi in VHF. È comunque superiore alla media dei palmari sulla stessa fascia di prezzo, garantendo una portata eccellente in campo aperto. Molto interessante la ricezione della Banda Aerea (AM): pulita e stabile, un vero plus per gli appassionati. ​4. Qualità Costruttiva: La scocca è in polimero resistente, i tasti hanno un ottimo feedback tattile (si sentono bene anche con i guanti) e il design è ergonomico. Nonostante la batteria capiente, la radio non risulta troppo pesante o sbilanciata. ​✅ PRO: ​Ricarica USB-C integrata (comodità assoluta). ​Display a colori ad alta leggibilità. ​Ricezione multi-banda (inclusa Air Band). ​Rapporto qualità-prezzo imbattibile. ​❌ CONTRO: ​L'antenna di serie è buona, ma per sfruttare i "10W" consiglio di montarne una più performante (tipo una Nagoya). ​Il manuale è un po' essenziale, bisogna smanettare un po' all'inizio. ​Conclusione: Se cercate una radio affidabile, moderna e versatile senza spendere cifre a tre zeri, il Radtel RT-880 è attualmente la scelta migliore sul mercato. Ottima per escursionisti, protezione civile o semplici appassionati. ​Consigliatissima!

Das Gerät kann die üblichen Modulationsarten (AM,FM,USB,LSB,CW) über einen sehr weitem Frequenzbereich empfangen, sendet jedoch nur in FM. Die drei Arbeitsbereiche sind mit der aktuellen Firmware etwas umständlich über Untermenüs zu wechseln. Dank des großen Display ist alles leicht ableesbar .
