Great 2D scanner
I do love the Motorola scanners. I needed a 2D scanner to scan barcodes on phones for our checking in tickets. It works great and a trusty hand held scanner. It was exactly what we needed. I easily programmed it and had it working in minutes after it was delivered.

Works very well and feels very solid. No effort in making it work with any computer because it just looks like a keyboard.

UPDATE...reloaded/updated software...works fine now...NOT WORTH THE PRICE...
working fine now,,,NEVERMIND!!!...We thought we were using it incorrectly... This unit routinely has dyslexia...inverting numbers, leaving off numbers.We have a much cheaper unit that we now use, because this unit takes more of our time correcting than anything else.Expensive on top of that.

Great Price on a 2D scanner.
Just connected it via USB cable and let it install. Was functioning within a minute of hooking it up. Scans my small 2D barcodes without a problem. Well made and easy to use. I did scan several different types of barcodes (different symbologies) without a skip. The red spotting dot really helps locate the barcode for easy reading. Little or no training will be needed for end user, point and scan. I will really be testing it once I install it on the shop floor, but I do not for see any problems. I have installed many different types of scanners in different applications and this one stands up to the best. I wish the wireless models would come down in price, but in my application I really don't need that capability.

Not compatible and not supported. Discontinued in 2015! Shame on you Amazon.
We attempted to engage the product with the web-based software and contacted the Zebra Support team. They shared that the model was discontinued in 2015 and they no longer supported this model. This should never be sold.

Excellent
This scanner does everything I need it to do. I work in WMOS supporting parcel services and spend a lot of time testing zpl barcode label encoding. It is very versatile with a lot of parameter barcodes for programming it to your needs. The scanner did not come with the full user manual which is where the barcodes are but you can download it in pdf format from http://www.posmicro.com/downloads/ds4208_manual.pdfThe buyer I purchased from also included the USB cable which is usually a separate purchase.

Great POS scanner - would prefer not to have to connect via cord but all in all a great product
