Adorable book, nice read. Bought to sign and gift for baby shower. Great quality, pages are thick.

This book contains inspiring women. I read this to my daughter everyday. So far, this is her favorite book. The only thing I noticed is, the women in the book were all from the black race. I have nothing against it. However, it would’ve been better if the writer included other women too. There are a lot of inspiring women from other races too, not just one. Otherwise, it’s still a good book for me to inspire my little one.

Well written and great for early reader learning to read. Bought for preschool niece. To start her own library.

The media could not be loaded. This big is what little black girls need to read and see. It is such an inspiration not only to them but to me as well. I am going to get more books from this arthur and others like her.Thank you Vashti for this masterpiece.

Baby shower gift

What a wonderful book highlighting the achievements of these great Black women! The art is beautiful and the text is simple enough for my two year old (though is also appropriate for older children). I am honored to show this to my daughter. We are white and thus have been admittedly uneducated about the contributions of Black Americans throughout our history (thank you white-washed education system), especially Black women. I hope to raise my daughter to appreciate all the women who have come before her to do great things! I hope this book helps gives young Black girls the ability to know their inmense worth. I can't say enough good things about it and I plan to buy more by Ms. Harrison. Thank you!
