Jobsworth Ristretto Retractable Café Lock 1M Cable. Ideal for Locking Away Bikes / Tools / Sheds / Gates / Prams etc (Black)

I bought this to replace my (10 year old) broken Dakine cable lock.It is nearly identical and feels as strong as the Dakine lock and it's a lot cheaper. I use it to secure my skis and poles when I leave them on the ski rack outside the cafe etc. to prevent someone "accidentally" picking them up (all skis look the same right?) or purposely stealing them. It's lite, easy to setup and carry. I'm pretty sure a determined thief with a Leatherman or similar pliers could quickly defeat it. However as a deterrent it works really well.It's been used daily for several weeks and so far working well.

Easy to set up and fits in a pocket so easy to carry around.

Just what I was after. Light, easy to use and wasn't too expensive 👍

Makes it slightly harder to steal my skiis, not much harder but when everyone else's are unlocked why bother with my locked ones. Doesn't freeze up in my experience but can require some jiggling.

This lock failed to work in less than a year

This was a waste of money! The cable lock works fine if just using on one pair of skis and not attaching to anything. It ony secures of you only extend a short amount of cable. If you extend t further to either attach skis to a physical item or to another pair of skis it doesn't work, the cable doesnt lock

Use for locking my helmet and things to my bike when I can't be bothered carrying them.The wire could maybe do with being a bit longer to make things easier, but I still managed to run it through the arm of a jacket, leg of my trousers, helmet buckle and through the side of both my boots and then around a part of the frame locking them to the bike.I know if someone really wanted them then it wouldn't take too much effort to get them, but it acts as a deterrent.Can't complain with this product.

Not particularly impressed with the quality. The mechanism for retracting the cable is not smooth and neither are the combination barrels. It works but its not great. I have since bought another identical looking one just in blue called Vine and its much better.
