First things first: when you receive the fridge, make sure to keep it upright and let it sit for at least 24 hours longer is even better before turning it on. This is really important to avoid damaging the compressor. The settings are straightforward and easy to adjust to your preferences. I tested it, and it cools down very quickly. Just got this thing today and plugged it to 12 volt right away in my van. I also tossed a temp sensor inside and it dropped from 70F to 12F in 1.25 hours at Max in High mode. I am blown away at how quickly it chills and freezes the contents within. I grabbed 2 containers of ice cream and some meat that I vac sealed and tossed in and after a mere hour the meat is almost solid and the ice cream is still nice and frozen! Game changer for a fulltime van lifer since my fridge has an internal Freezer that is absolutely terrible at freezing things so this thing has made my life much better now that meats can be frozen to last longer😁. For the price its a solid fridge/freezer and the ability to go from 120v to 12v is perfect! If you need a good refrigerator solution consider this thing😁. Day 2: it took the whole night to get down to sub freezing inside but thats also it trying to freeze some chops I tossed in. Checked this morning and the chops are solid and the freezer is maintaining temp. Where I have mine placed is above where my heater tank rests but even getting that little bit of rising heat doesnt seem to affect this little guy😁. For the process paid and what I get in return this is a solid investment currently in the cold months and will be so much more valuable in the summer months being able to actually have frozen treats for me and my fuzzy mutt when the heat gets to us😁.

Takes about 2 hours for unit to chill on MAX if you place room temperature drinks in it. Need to both pre-chill the cooler in advance and pre-chill the drinks before a trip. Do not place refrigerated items in it before it reaches proper temperature.

It's good I took it on a 13 hour car ride to and from California and it kept everything ice cold without me ever having to really do anything. Not too loud or anything.
