I absolutely love this hydroponic misting growing system! I’m currently using it to grow strawberries and baby tomatoes, and the results have been outstanding. I bought this on sale for around 50 dollars and I can say it is definitely not worth the 100 dollars and here’s why. Set up was pretty easy there were several questions I had that were not addressed in the manual that I had to contact the company about. For example it says nothing about the pump cover in the manual but according to the company you should keep that on at all times so that water doesn’t splash everywhere. I can confirm that if you leave the pump cover off, that water will splash everywhere. The power button on my garden was very inconsistent, I would hit the power button and it would instantly turn off it would not stay on so that I could set the time and brightness percentage. The only way I was able to do this was by activating the pump. The pump also runs for 3 minutes and then takes a 2 minute break and then repeats this process. According to the company it is supposed to run for 30 minutes and then shut off for 30 minutes and repeat this cycle while the pump is on. I can say that the pump does not shut off after 30 minutes because I have timed it. I just leave the pump button on for hours and it just runs every three minutes. I also had a question about how often to have the pump on because it did not say that in the manual and according to the company you do not need to have the pump on at all times. The garden is generally quiet, however every now and then the light fixture will make a high pitched sounds that only goes away if I lightly touch the light fixture. However if you touch the light fixture with to much force or accidentally bump it while turning the pump off the entire thing shuts down and you have to reprogram it. The majority of my seeds came up pretty fast, but as you can see from my photo the lettuce got very leggy and flopped over and it is not very big. I bought brand new seeds so the seeds should not be an issue. As you can see in the photo most of the seeds did pop up but to what extent they will actually grow and get bigger I’m not sure. I think it is also important to note that the mist does not actually rise above plants it remains under the cover. As of right now I would say this would work great for starting seeds and then transplanting the plants but I am not sure to what extend the plants will actually get large enough to produce a substantial amount. I just came back to update this review. I bought this in November and now the pump no longer works. Very disappointed, don’t waste your money.

Grows amazing plants worth every penny

I ordered this for a change, having used Aerogrow for years. What a difference! Firstly, it’s much cheaper. Secondly, it’s actually fun to watch, as the mist effect looks like dry ice! It’s easy to use, yet gives a number of options for timing and light intensity. And everything germinates so quickly! One seed was from a 2 year old batch I had lying around - it germinated in 5 days. And the speed with which strawberry seeds germinate is nothing short of a miracle! I’ve never been able to get them started indoors before. Five stars on every front!

Bought 3 of these to give as Christmas gifts. Everyone loved that they could grow their own herbs and the ease of doing so.
