Working correctly
I finally got around to using three of these as part of a test rig for reviewing another product, and the three I used so far are fine. I made 3 pin male Dupon connectors for the ends so I could easily plug them into a breadboard, and used the DallasTemperature library with PlatformIO for an 8266. There needs to be a pull UP resistor on the data line (not pull down as one reviewer said, perhaps accounting for their timing issues), and on the D1 Mini there's an adequate pullup already on D4 so I didn't add one unnecessarily. The devices were found without issue, and gave consistent readings when put into the same thermal environment. DS18B20's react quickly to temperature changes, and the casing around the sensor seems to have little impact on their responsiveness.

One-wire Temperature sensors
These are great temperature sensors. I'm using them on my boat to monitor the temperature of the hot water, engine, and temperature within the cabin space of the boat. The sensors were packaged together with the ends partly stripped. The reason for the 4-star review is that while five of the six sensors work fine, one failed to identify on the 1-wire bus during initial testing (each tested individually to avoid any interference on the one-wire bus.)

Good quality probes
These probes are really good quality. They feel a bit chunkier and thicker than my other DS18B20 probes which is nice. The accuracy is good, within 1 degree Celsius of my food probe that I compared it against. Great for raspberry pi, Arduino and other home automation projects.

They work, might not be genuine
I like the dallas range of 1 wire devices, they allow one to easily attach a sensor to a microcontroller, and use it via a defined set of control commands. There are however a lot of copies of the sensors of varying qualities. These sensors all have a good quality cable and sheath, leading to a metal cap holding the sensor. There are the usual red, black and yellow cores coming out of the cable. To use the sensor the yellow buss wire should be pulled to ground using something around a 4.7k ohm resistor. The red wire should either have 3.3v supplied, or also be tied to ground for parasitic power.I connected a couple of the sensors to a single pin of an ESP32 and ran some simple test programs. The sensors reported a correct family address. There was a report from the program of there being a ghost sensor. It is possible that the search algorithm miscounted when there were more than 1 device, it is also possible however that a device is mis-timed.The devices all supports 9 to 12 bit temperature conversion correctly. However, the time taken to perform the conversion was reported as being 470ms, which is more than the ~320ms the genuine devices are specified to take. The conversion taking too long could also point to the ghost device not being a mistake, but a mis-timing of these temperature sensors. When used singly, the devices worked properly with reporting the temperatures at the correct accuracy. However, they might have slightly warmed up as I wasn't using parasitic power. If one is using this to measure the temperature of a reasonable body of liquid or other matter, then this might not be an issue

short cables, at least one of the pack was not functional
3 stars because I haven't checked functionality on all of them yet and I'm giving the benefit of the doubt that some of the pack may work. First one fitted doesn't work at all. Take note they all have short cables.
