I needed something to carve log benches and this make quick work of it. Easy to control, cuts, levels and shapes wood quickly - taking off a lot or just a little. If you use it carefully the surface is reasonably smooth. Did not take much sanding to finish. The teeth do not clog and can be cleaned easily (I used a stiff nylon brush) to remove any build up. I'd definitely recommend this for power carving.
