My mother is a teacher. She absolutely adores Flair pens, as they “show up really nicely on a projector.” When she saw they were on sale (a lightning deal) for $5.80, she had to get them, so I ordered them for her. Initially, I was worried as I’d seen reviews stating they only got 11, or that 3/12 pens didn’t have ink. All of the pens wrote beautifully. The only thing though, and this is a minor thing as the pens wrote nice, is that some of the white subcaps came off (pictures will show what I mean), so you had to take two caps off before you could write. Initially, there were three pens that had the problem, but I ended up snapping one in by closing it the first time, so I think it’s a solvable problem. Also, some of them closed ‘weakly,’ if you get what I mean, so I was a bit paranoid and had to double check they were all closed and wouldn’t dry out. This isn’t a big issue and they probably closed just fine and won’t dry out. Even with the defective caps, I don’t think it’s worth taking a star away, as they all wrote nicely and all 12 were delivered. Great value, even at the price they are now.
