Best combo I’ve ever bought
I’ve been fishing for years. I’ve always wanted a bait caster but didn’t want to break the bank to get an expensive one but also didn’t want a cheap one. This bait caster is a great mix of both budget friendly and amazing quality. This has become my favorite setup. Easy to use, functions amazing, and is comfortable to hold and cast all day long.

Buy something else
Didn't use this for a year until this year. The whole combination is just bad. The reel fouls every few casts, the rod slows the line and is way too stiff for what this should be. My 7' 6" medium weight ugly stick casts a 1/4 oz spoon better than this. I can use the same 6lb line on my 40yr old penn just fine. Buy something else.

Must have if your getting into fishing a bit more
The media could not be loaded. If fishing is something you picked up on for about a year like I did, and you are experienced enough to know what line and lures to use for fish at about 70 dollars this is a huge difference maker than your everyday rods that are 20 to 50 bucks. I could not believe the difference in feel and how easy it was it set the hook with different fish. Super sensitive and picks up any action
