5 Inch/10 Inch Wire Keychain Cable Large Stainless Steel Key Ring Loop Holder, 20/50/100 Pack

When I bought these I didn’t really have the intention to use them as a keychain, I actually bought them to put on our luggage sort of like a luggage tag. I decorated them with pony beads and used letter beads to spell out my name and I placed them on my carry-on, personal item and checked bag. They held up great on our international trip from Texas to Dublin, London and back. In total we took 5 planes and none of the beads fell off and all the key chain wires were still attached to all the bags by the time we got home. I also used them as a sort of anti-theft ring. When wondering around the airport I would place the keyring through the zippers of our luggage and attack it to itself. That way no one could slip a hand in without me noticing. My luggage zipper also has little notches for a TSA lock but I can also slip the wire through and have the wire act as a lock as well. However I don’t recommend this if you need to get through security in the event they have to go through your luggage, they may cut the wire for time purposes. Ever since realizing how well they work as luggage markers I now use them on a lot of my bags. Not to just indicate that the bag is mine but as a small accessory since I can decorate how ever I want. The only beads I have been able to use are pony beads and square letter beads with openings of 4mm or wider. I have purchased a shorter length wire from a different company that my daughters found and they started using them as bracelets which I have come to realize is a safer option then your typical stretchy string because there is less of a chance for the key chain wires to break and the beads going everywhere. These are a great product and I recommend them because there are different things you can use them for.

These are great for all kinds of reasons--far beyond key rings. I've used them to secure lightweight plastic Adirondack chairs to a windy dock, for example. All kinds of uses. These are strong, easy to use--put on or take off. Exceptionally great.

The keychain seems made well. The threads on a random selection of these all went together and secured well. The finish on them feel durable. The twist on the cabling does not have any snags. The male end of the keychain seems to go through most every key style unless it has a very small opening. The size of the 5" cable is that of a x-large metal ring. See the photos to see a regular size ring, large ring, and the cable keychain. It takes many turns to fully secure the keychain and I dont foresee it opening up very easily. The female end has a pressed end cap that keeps the male section from falling off. This is likely to be the weakest point, but it is well crimped. The thickness of the cable is firm enough to feel secure, but still remains flexible.

I use these for keeping keys, measuring spoons together. The screw & nut stay closed. They seem well made, as the wire hasn't frayed. Good value for the price.

awesome product, i have SO MANY OF THESE THINGS NOW. i have way more than i need, but they're handy lil things to have. super nice and simple, with about a thousand uses outside of the intended use.

At first, I thought these cables would be too small. I was going to return them. But after assembling them, they came out to be perfect. This is the 5 inch. These ended up working perfectly for my needs . made the perfect bag charm . Sturdy holds a ton . Easy to screw in the ends .

Lite weight and very strong. Versatile. 20 of them for only $6.00! Wish I came across these years ago.
