Cocoweb 19" Grand Piano Lamp - Adjustable, Black with Brass Accents, LED Clip-on with Dimmer - GPLED19D

I do not have a grand piano. I cannot read sheet music. I do have a custom-built cabinet for my record collection and I required a light fixture for the top shelf that looked cool and articulated enough that I could see what I was looking for at night even when really drunk. You know, gotta find THAT ONE Cramps LP. I built the record cabinet out of 3/4in Birch plywood and as luck would have it the Cocoweb 19in light mounting fixture was already perfectly set up for this. Slip fit over the back, locked down with two thumb screws and done. Also has an optional dimmer control. Totally diggin' it so far. If you are looking for a stylish light fixture for an unorthodox application besides piano music boards this is a solid choice.

Bought this fixture to replace an old fluorescent one which was not really doing the job on the church piano. The Cocoweb unit is much brighter and the included dimmer control allows you to adjust the amount of light to whatever level you desire. The fixture has a clean, stylish look which complements the baby grand piano, yet it's slim size almost makes it seem to disappear when turned off.The only thing I didn't like was the foam tape provided to secure the dimmer in place. Totally unsuitable by my standards. Instead, I machined a block of aluminum to hold the dimmer and attached it to the rear of the clamping bracket (see pics #1-3). This provided a centered mounting and still allowed easy adjustment of the dimmer when necessary.Be aware that there is an error in the description about the thickness range of the music rest which can be accommodated by the clamp of this fixture. It is capable of attaching on 3/8" up to 9/16", but not any thicker, unless you remove the padded pressure plate from inside the clamp. I don't recommend doing that, because the thumbscrews could mar the rear of the music rest when they are tightened, without the padded plate in place.All in all, it's a great light fixture, although I think it's priced a bit higher than necessary. However, I was unable to find anything else that was comparable at a lower cost, so the choice was pretty simple.

This is a beautiful, high-quality lamp that I am proud to put on my new piano! It took a little time to read the instructions and warnings, as well as unpack the carefully packaged lamp. I installed it on my piano and was able to get it adjusted exactly as I wanted. It is streamlined and sturdy. Really lights up the area: a full 3 pages across and the whole keyboard.

I would give this 4 1/2 stars if I could, because it really is a nice lamp and gives a wonderful even light once it was properly adjusted. It is sturdy yet lightweight enough to clamp without damage onto the rather delicate board of my antique baby grand. The light arrived so well packaged I can't imagine how it got off center and a bit twisted, so that after initial assembly it was crooked and glaring straight into my eyes. There is nothing in the detailed setup instructions about adjusting it, so I ended up calling the company at the number included in the packaging. Apparently, some of these lights are packaged backwards and the light bar has to be swiveled around in a place that is not obvious. The neck itself cannot be adjusted except for height through the clamp. Overall though it is a great lamp, and I especially like the dimmer switch feature.

Love the way it looks with my baby grand piano. Light is excellent.

After researching different options for months I decided to purchase this lamp for my new Kawai digital piano. At first I was worried it wouldn’t fit well on a digital piano but saw that a few other reviewers had used it on comparable models. The color options available can match just about any finish. The dimmer is such a nice feature and I was quite surprised at how good it was for being on an LED lamp. This lamp deserves the 5 stars in my book. That being said I do feel like the price is a bit steep, but the quality is definitely superior. Nothing about it feels cheap. I was lucky enough to be able to get this lamp while a deal was going which made the purchase a bit easier to justify. In the end I think it’s still worth the cost!

I just received my lamp a few days ago. It was easy to install and a perfect fit on the music rack of my Yamaha Arius YDP-144. I didn't need to re-shape (bend) the bracket. It fit right on. The light itself is great. When I first looked at it I thought there would be a problem with adjusting the head to the right angle so it would illuminate the entire sheet and not just the bottom half. It turned out that it has a good range of motion and I have no problem lighting the entire sheet. The light is easy on the eyes and the dimmer gives me a nice range from a very soft light to extremely bright. The light produced is very similar to natural sunlight. A little pricey for what it is but overall it seems like a really good product.

Was a gift for my mom who loves it. Looks very nice and is very bright.
