Bought this to replace a Crocodile Creek placemat which had begun to lose some of it's colour from cleaning. This placemat is much thicker and durable. Purchased 8 months ago in preparation for the Olympics. Mealtimes soon became 'what's the capital of....?'. It hasn't sufferred any loss of colour through cleaning, and doesn't curl up when warm plates are on it. Would definitely buy another of these, if it ever wears out!

Our 5 year-old grandson loves and studies this placemat. We purchased it for him when he began showing an interest in countries, capitals and world geography. He is becoming very proficient in the subject and will often quiz us on capitals. He did notice, however, that Vatican City is not included on the placemat, while reminding me that it is the smallest country in the world. Super high quality and easy to wipe clean.
