I am very happy with this Beetles nail glue. The consistency is just right—not too runny or too thick—making it easy to apply cleanly and precisely. I’m a total beginner with gel nails, and at first I tried doing them without a base and top coat—big mistake. The polish didn’t last, looked dull, and even felt a little slimy. Once I got this Beetles base coat and top coat, everything changed. They’re super easy to apply, cure quickly, and don’t feel sticky afterward. My nails come out shiny, smooth, and last so much longer now. Honestly, if you’re doing gel at home, these two make all the difference. Definitely recommend!

Edit /update #2 The shine lasts and lasts better than any topcoat I’ve ever used. After three weeks, it still looks as good as it did the first day. I’ve come to love it and have reordered, however, it’s unpredictable. The thinest of coats is imperative as is the timing. Too much on it melts all over the place A little too much, it drips down the sides of nails creating bulbous lumps while under the light Too soon after polish it will “shrink” after the light, wrinkling the polish (especially when using three coats of polish) Sometimes it’s gummy after several times under the light and never cures There’s not much rhyme or reason. Takes a “just right” application: not too much, not too soon, not too little… Pain in the behind really— but THAT SHINE (and when it works just right) is worth the hassle. Original post: Note: I was a nail tech for nearly 15 years and still wear acrylics, going on 30 years… I know my way around nail products. The high gloss shine of this topcoat is amazing. It keeps that just-polished wet look for a really long time (weeks). However— it’s horribly messy to use — USE A SUPER THIN COAT— otherwise it melts (?? for lack of a better word) and gets all over the place. Makes a sticky awful mess to deal with The biggest problem I’ve had with it is that even after 3 minutes curing under the light, it’s still gummy. You can peel it right off— right down to bare nail, for at least a day— makes for dings and smushes and frustration. I’d return it if I could. UPDATE: I changed from a 3-star rating to 1-star (bc the shine is great and I can’t give it a zero) because even though it stays gummy and ding-able for DAYS— removing it is a nightmare. Polish remover doesn’t touch it. Pure acetone doesn’t touch it. When I use my Dremel to file it off, it gums up the bit— which then needs to be soaked in acetone and scrubbed with a metal brush… W A Y way way tooooo much work compared to professional brand gel top coats. Will not buy again. Sticking to the pro-stuff.

Not sure if they changed the formula or what. But this is the brand I have been using for years. Ever since I started doing my nails at home. Normally my polish lasts about a week before it starts pealing. And I'm OK with that, because I like to change up my colors often. Keeping in mind, I'm a busy body. I do housework, yard work, type all day at work, and roughhousing with my 4 dogs. So breaking nails or chipping and pealing polish is pretty common for me after about a week. I just got these bottles in a couple weeks ago. Same brand I have been using for years, but the bottles looked a little different. But we're going on over 2 weeks now. I just noticed today when running my fingers through my hair, that I felt my polish grab. Normally at my cuticles is where it starts lifting from first. I inspected my thumb to see how much of it was lifting (to see if maybe it's time to repaint) and actually had to think about how long this polish has lasted. I have tons of nail growth visible. That's not normal, for me. Checked back to my delivery date, it's been a little over 2 weeks. So that's how long this has lasted. Like I said, don't normally last this long for me. Not sure if they changed up the formula or what, but I'm impressed with it's lifespan. Now I could just coat the nail again to stick the lifting edges back down, but after a couple weeks, I'm actually sick of the color. Lol. I'm not used to that. I'm going to repaint today and see how long it lasts again. If it has the same longevity, I'll come back and buy some more. I'm so rough with my hands, that anything lasting more than a single week is impressive.

Nice product and great price

Has a little bit of stickiness but goes away. The texture is pretty smooth. Hasn’t peeled in a week yet. The coverage was really good. The color was a nice clear coat.
