Norcold 637360 Temp Monitor Control

My Norcold 2118SS RV refrigerator displayed an L1 oP fault code. This was the 2nd time. The 1st time I was able to place a magnet just to the right of the red LED and reset the module. But, the 2nd time we got the L1 oP fault code the magnet reset routine did not work. So, this kit was purchased and installed to replace both the module and the temperature sensor. It worked and restored my refrigerator to a working condition.The purpose of this kit is to monitor the temperature of the boiler in the RV refrigerator. If the temp gets too high and out of control, there is a risk of a fire. If the boiler temp gets too high, it shuts the refrigerator off. The module is a High-Temperature Cut-off Safety in the refrigerator controls system.This kit comes with instructions that should be read and followed exactly.I can say for sure this is the correct kit for models 2118 and 1210. I am not sure about other models, you should contact Norcold about your model.

This simple temperature monitor relay circuit is a mandated safety item for all gas / electric refrigerators by Norcold / Dometic or others. **This new one comes with a rain-shield, which will eliminate almost all the failures I've heard about, all caused by water driven into the fridge's rear compartment.These relays fail for many reasons. I've had them fail because they got wet from wind-driven rain, and from power failures. Norcold / Dometic will replace a bad unit for free, BUT...you must take the entire RV into a repair facility, who will require you to leave the RV for 24 hours, so you can get it re-set or replaced. they will try to get you to pay $$ for their services, of course. There are YouTube videos on how to re-set these, but it does not always work (I tried). So, here's a foolproof way to get that CRITICAL safety device working for you. Replace your inoperative relay with this one. This part may not mount exactly for you fridge. I had to move the tube-clip from my old unit to the new one. no big deal. the actual relay is correct for any / all of these types of fridges. Personally, I'm much happier to pay for this, than to go through the hassle of a repair shop. And, it cost me over $75 last time for their 'testing services'. From anywhere in the world, This will arrive is a few days, you put it in, and so long as it works, you are safe again from an overheated boiler which can kill you. If, when installed, you still have the error, then the temp sensor is bad, or the unit is actually over heating. This kit includes the temp sensor, so you can replace that if needed. Finally, with a new relay and new sensor, it the unit still faults, it's time for the repair shop!

It is what I ordered and needed but don’t know if problem is fixed yet. This type of ice box has problems I did not know about when bought.

SOLVED THE PROBLEM THE REPAIRMAN COULDNT.

The dreaded flashing red light occurred and the box would not reset... I ordered and easily installed this replacement and have not had a problem since....

This part worked great! I needed the exact part and it was and my fridge started working and has been working great every since I replaced the old part with this part. Awesome!!
