Perfect for my EDC
UPDATE: 07/23/19Loving this knife more everyday I carry her. Completing some leather craft recently & this knife was amazing at cutting patterns, trimming the edges, etc. held the edge clean through several projects. An amazing knife just got better👍🏼I know the conplaints on this knife; price, sharp spyder hole, detent ball track, etc. However, with a quick couple of passes with the ceramic file sharp edge is gone. I could care less about the line the detent ball leaves on the blade, its visible only while opening/closing. The green scale is fine and with an extra deep carry clip I had, took care of the high ride. This knife was exactly what I was looking for, a small quality folder, thin and invisible in the pocket. I have no complaints. Handle is comfortable easy to manipulate in hand, with a secure grip. Blade meets all the usual EDC task with ease, shaving sharp out of the box. I do agree the price is a bit steep for a knife of this size, but the quality materials, craftsmanship, collaboration with custom maker, not to mention the Prime points I had made it acceptable. Besides it hit all the other qualifiers I had for a quality EDC. Around the $150 mark appears to be the new median for point in the knife market. Besides how many have or want a Chris Reeves? This is damn close to a Sebenza for way way less. Cheers 🍻

Very nice knife
While it is a little smaller blade than I expected, though not by much, it is nice steel and quite sharp. It is thinner it it's body than many, which is perfect. Well made, handle material is great. The thumb hole for opening is positioned well.

Great Design. Three out of Four Flaws Can Be Corrected.
Jerry Brouwer designed a great little knife, but Spyderco kind of dropped the ball in the implementation. Let's start with the things that can be fixed. 1) The Spydie hole is partially covered by the green G10 scale making the knife hard to open. If you take the knife apart, a small round fine-tooth file can be used to enlarge the thumb access to the Spydie hole. See the attached "before" and "after" photos. 2) The Spydie hole is sharp. I use one of the brown triangular ceramic sharpening bars that comes with the Sharpmaker to chamfer the the Spydie hole. 3) The clip is too big, makes the knife ride too high, and causes a hot-spot. Deep carry clips are available from third-partys. Or, just take the ridiculous clip off and drop the knife in your pocket and carry old-school style. 4) For this amount of money, the knife should have steel better than S30V. Since the G10 scale is British Racing Green (sort of), Spyderco should have used ZDP-189 steel in this knife. They didn't, but maybe they will on a sprint run. Or, even better, let's hope Spyderco comes out with a Jerry Brouwer 2 and fixes all the problems themselves.

Been carrying for over a year now and nothing compares
I have been carrying this knife for over a year now and it has held up great and I love it. It opens FAST (or slow if you don't want people to think you have a switchblade), it's light, the edge holds up well, and it's an effective blade shape without being threatening or "extra." But to make it the knife I love I had to modify it, which is fine, because we all have our tastes. The edges on the G10 are very square and sharp (this is why it loses a star, for such an expensive knife), so I took some fine-grit sandpaper and lightly sanded it down and it feels much better. The pocket clip is atrocious (I've never liked this type of pocket clip) and for such a humble-yet-sophisticated look, the near-mirror-finish pocket clip is terrible and carries high, so I bought a titanium deep-carry pocket clip and it is PERFECT.This is the perfect knife and every time I start browsing for new knives to buy, none of them live up to this one, and I know I'll end up carrying the Brouwer.

All time favorite edc
This knife is fantastic. Good blade design and awesome ergonomics. I had it pre ordered before it was released and have been carrying it since ...4 years? Carry it everyday . Gutted two deer one after another with it even. I've had many benchmades and Spydercos but this tops them all. The only complaint is that the factory clip is total trash. Idk what they were thinking. Get a deep carry clip and you'll be in love
