Life After Life : Moody, Dr Raymond: desertcart.in: Books Review: Loved this book - It's a classic on this topic, but it's still very much valid and to the point. i find it a very valuable gift to someone who had contact with death recently but is not acquainted with this subject. This book can be of immense help in its clear simplicity. Review: Concise and to the point - It is a great book, probably takes a day to read. The author has made it a point to give all the details in a concise manner without going into detailed explanations about unnecessary things. It’s not exactly something that fills you with awe but it does make you curious to learn more.

one Amazing Book
This book is equally amazing to people who are spiritually inclined and also to who are not, for this book gives a brief glimpse of what lies beyond death, which is very well in line with our ancient scriptures. More importantly this book compels you to think whether you are living this life in a meaningful way. It is an excellent book

Read the book with an open mind, not from a religious lens
This book came into my life around 1975, through excerpts published in the now-defunct Illustrated Weekly of India. As a kid, grappling with the imagined possibility of death snatching my parents away, after watching my grandparents leave, and keeping my fears to myself, this book offered hope. I think the sincerity of the experiencers makes it interesting- and remember these were times when people scoffed it completely, unlike the broad acceptance, even with some incredulity, now. Since then I have read other books, mainly Hindu spiritual texts, which have offered insights that Dr. Moody's subjects couldn't. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to understand what happens at the time of death knowing that not every experience will be the same, and what will be ours may not be the same for another fellow being. It may help those struggling with sudden deaths in the family, trying to understand why it happened. If they are sceptical, let them listen to the many NDE interviews on social media, and of the author Dr. Moody himself.

Nothing much to glean if you’re from the East
Fine enough but Indians know much more than this guy from our own culture. This book is for Western people raised in Abrahmic cultures.

Well Balanced and Well Structured
It fully met my expectation on the subject coverage. It is well structured and balanced on handling the parallels, questions and explaination. I recommend this book to all who want to see beyond religions. Knowing death and after death, resolves many questions of the life,

I read this book because I wanted to know more about how the “near death experiences” got their name, and how Raymond Moody became such an icon in the community. I was not disappointed. This is a well written book, that also convinced me that there are “evidences” that supports peoples stories.

Wow! What a FANTASTIC read. This is the 3rd book on this subject that i have read since the passing of my Dad, and this one has been the most helpful - by far! I loved the way it was written, it was straight to the point - giving examples of NDEs right from the start. The previous books i have read (Embraced by the light & Guided by Angels - there are no goodbyes), although enjoyable and quite touching at times, have given alot (probably too much for my liking/that was necessary i.m.o) of background info until it got to the main points of the subject, which i thought was a bit boring at times. I guess that's because this book is more like a study of accounts rather than one of the writer's personal experience. I was pleased to find that the book wasn't heavily related to religion, my other reads sadly left me believing that some some of "Faith" or religious belief was necessary in order to have such wonderful "passing overs". I found the short passage about suicide induced NDE's particularly interesting in comparison to "natural" ones. Although this book didn't dissolve the feeling of loss i have for my Dad - I've since ordered another book that i hope will deal with such issues - it DID reassure me that my Dad's final moments were ones of happiness and joy, not fear and pain. It was so uplifting to read how loved ones that had already passed over were there to welcome him, he had lost his partner a few years ago and to think they have been reunited is just amazing - and it makes me very happy. This book has completely changed my view of my Dad's "death", and i believe it is a stepping stone in dealing with and coping with the grief i feel. A highly recommended read.

It's a very interesting book if you're into the NDE thing. I loved reading about all the folks who shared their NDE experiences; however I found that way too many words were inappropriately, (or not necessary) used for readers who never use them. In other words, I found myself having to do a Google search to find the meanings of too many words where other appropriate, (or more simple understanding words) could have been used. I'm an educated person and also a writer/author so having said that, when I write, I like to use more common easy-to-define words for my readers. Every author should consider this. As for Raymond Moody; thank you for taking the time to share all your hard work, I appreciate you.
