Sterilite 2008004 Cake Server, White (CLEAR, 2)

I'm pleased with this cake carrier. It can fit close to a 12 inch cake. I say "close to" since, while the platform will hold a 12 inch cake round, there's virtually no clearance between the cake and the lid. So, if you have any measure of frosting on the sides of the cake, this carrier will not work well. But, for a smaller cake, such as a 10 inch even with loads of frosting, zero issues.The base attaches to the lid with two plastic snaps. They close firmly with a loud click so you know the top is firmly engaged. Still, the snaps (as with all other parts of the carrier) are plastic, so they won't last forever. But even with significant use, I think the parts are sturdy enough to stand up to a few years of use. My only quibble is the handle. It's not ideal for getting a good grip. It's functional, but a larger, easier to grip handle would have been nice.Note that there are several listings for this item, often rebranded, with far higher prices. It's the same item -- a Sterilite carrier that is made in the US. A great value -- five stars.

If you are needing an easy way to store or transport homemade cakes this is great, and has worked great for us since we have family who lives far. This can store one two or three layer cake. The snaps open easy to make that a breeze. I think it is worth the cost.

Very sturdy cake carrier. I make many pound cakes and have two of this same carrier that I have used for numerous years.

This is a very nice cake storage container. It is nice and big and perfect. Highly recommend!

This is a hardworking, reliable product with a simple but effective design. We use it for storage and for travel. Had this item for 10+ years and I finally replaced it. The bottom is practically ndestructible. The top will crack if you drop it on tile flooring. Ours had been dropped accidentally after cleaning it, and I could never find a replacement, in stock, at brick and mortar stores near me.

Made well. But very large. Like brand . Is plenty big enough for a large 2 layer iced cake. But beware of return policy. Can only return thru UPS and you have to pay $6.98 which comes out of your return. I shop Amazon because of free returns.

Wonderful cake carrier. I had one exactly like this and the locking clip broke off years ago. I decided to get this one because it was the same and I liked the style. Works beautifully and the broken one went into the recycling bin.

Great storage for baked goods. Large enough to accommodate a three a three layer cake with icing or large plate of cookies. The locking mechanisms on the sides are very secure and keep food fresh. Easy to keep clean and store.
