Nice finish and solid
My new Advocate Hayduke came with Race Face Ride stem and bars. Although reasonably nice, the bars are flat with a 8 degree sweep and a 35mm clamping area. I ordered Salsa Bend 2's with a 17 degree sweep and the only option being 31.8 so I needed to replace the Ride 35mm. My stem is 90mm in length and I wanted to shorten it to around 70mm. TheTurbine has a much nicer finish than the Ride and it's probably a little lighter but had it not been for the size, I probably would've kept the Ride stem.

It's an upper-end Race Face stem that came in the length and rise specified. It's shiny, will almost certainly never break, and shortened my cockpit by about 30mm, which is what I needed for my trail bike. SUCCESS! Again, premium, $7,000 mountain bikes get Race Face Turbine or Aeffect hardware, and this performs accordingly. I climb a little less well, but descent and steer with much more control. I'm 5'11" which typically places me directly between M and L frames--I went with a L and had to take steps to bring things just a bit closer. This did the trick. Yay

Great lightweight stem.
Great lightweight stem. Perfect for your 29er XC rocket. Holding up great after several hundred miles of mountain bike abuse (even downhill). Not sure why but I feel more comfortable with aluminum over carbon for my stems. I don't notice any significant difference in feedback/absorption. Great stem.

Nice quality, but didn’t work for me
Needed a shorter stem and was looking to shave some weight. First, this is a quality stem it’s marketed for XC/Trail. I would agree with the trail part. Not the lightest but not hefty. The 60mm -6 stem, weighs 122g but unfortunately it weighs more than the 116g 70mm stem it was replacing. I ended up returning it cause the shorter stem didn’t not fix the issue I was having, but it definitely is a nice piece.

This thing is awesome!!
Very stiff!!! Looks awesome! I never imagined it to look so good based on pics I have seen. I had other stems before, but this is the best in terms on stiffness, looks and most important Manufacturing quality!! I would buy this stem again if I ever need another one.

Nice stem , lightweight and looks like it would be very durable. Using this for XC MTB so the stem does not see a lot of abuse.

Total failure, be carefull.
Broke while riding on flat concrete, face-plate broke across both sides, at speed this would have been a disaster, lucky I was going slow.

Does make the bars pretty rigid, but that's what I wanted
Very solid and light. Does make the bars pretty rigid, but that's what I wanted. Also there is a circular window on both sides of the stem that you can see straight through to your boring metal bar underneath. Not sure if this was to make a more flexible or lightweight piece or if it's to save weight, but I didn't like the way it looked. I'm used to it now but if I had the choice I'd prefer a solid piece.
