Delicious
And healthy. My secret is that I add a tiny bit of moscovado sugar to each serving ;-)

THIS is the Muesli I remember
I regularly bought Alpen Muesli throughout the 1970's and beyond, enrapt with the incredibly indescribable texture and flavor of a cereal that I could have easily referred to as addictive because of its pleasurable overall consistency, flavor, and content. Somehow, for whatever reason, I lost track of this cereal as time and the years went on, and only recently found myself reminiscing about Alpen Muesli when I did a search, found it on Amazon, and decided to try it - never really expecting it to even closely remind me of the Alpen Muesli of my recall.I am so surprised to report how delighted I am to find that this Alpen Muesli is the very same as the Alpen of my history. Only one negative - the price. After ordering this product and paying the asking price on Amazon, not knowing otherwise, I found the very same Alpen Muesli at our local Whole Foods for exactly one-half the price I paid. I was shocked and disappointed to learn that I had jumped too quickly in an effort to validate my memory of such a heavenly product as Alpen Muesli. Needless to say, I will be buying future boxes of this treat elsewhere. Shame on me. And shame on Amazon.

No sugar added
It is so difficult to find no sugar added healthy cereals. I give this product five stars just for existing and doing that.

Crunchier and wheaty-er than your typical museli
So this muesli is notable in that it's primary ingredient consists of small wheat or bran flakes, rather than rolled oats. This significantly changes the character and makes it more like a traditional wholesome cereal than common mueslis which prefer the rolled oat base. The wheat dominates the flavor profile. Fortunately, I like bran flakes about as much as I like muesli, so this is pretty good. It's substantial and has variegated textures and flavors. I don't think it mixes well with other muesli, but that's not a deal breaker for me. It isn't sweet at all, which is just how I like it.It's pretty good dry and with 2% milk, and fairly filling. In terms of price, if you can get it at the $4 price point, it's an excellent deal, at $8 its okay.In the end, I prefer the Familia- or Swissli-type muesli, but this is nice to add to the rotation once in a while.

Its kind of boring but I like that its healthy
Its OK. It tastes like something that you can make from your kitchen when you're bored. Its just plain small toasted oats, chopped nuts and raisons and perhaps a tab bit of salt. You can literally make this yourself but you have to try it to believe that. Its not the worse cereal but there's no flavor. It doesn't consist any added sugars, which is really great! Most boxes consist the same amount of sugar as desserts. So, good job for not putting that in this.

Delicous
I love this cereal - I eat it mostly cold with regular milk or oatmilk but on some days when I want something warm and don't want to make oatmeal, I heat it up in the microwave and it is perfectly delicious. I don't care for sugary sweet cereals and this is perfect as the fruit sweetens it just right. I wish they made an organic version.

False advertising, ingredients are NOT accurate - NO RETURNS either
If you came to this product AND PAID MORE than it normally costs, to get the Alpen cereal that includes powdered skim milk and malted barley, more oats etc - then you are going to be very disappointed. What you will end up with is the cheap American version that mostly contains small bran flakes, zero flavor. As another reviewer posted on another product review of this version, it literally is horse feed and should no longer be marketed as a cereal.I have zero trust that I will ever be able to get the version I like again, although it is still made out there. Just not for the North America markets for whatever reason.
