Encore Plastics 56511 Mix 'N Measure Plastic Pail with Foam Grip Handle, 5-Gallon

These are buckets, they work well for all bucket related activities. I LOVE the measurements, for mixing cleaning agents, for mixing fertilizer, and for changing my turtle's water-ALL different buckets, don't worry! I started with one, and now I have six of these, all marked with permanent marker. I like to mix Earth Juice fertilizer in these then stick an aquarium bubbler in them for 24 hours to brew up a killer "tea" for my garden-best growth I've ever seen. They are good, heavy duty buckets, and the original one I bought looks like it hasn't aged a day in years.

I bought this and the lid separate because I did not have a 5 gallon bucket, and one of my homemade liquid laundry soap recipes called for a 5 gal. bucket. This has been working for me since May 2016 now. holding my first batch of liquid laundry detergent. Its a very solid plastic, and has done well for my liquid detergent, I can see getting many years of use from this, and I do plan to keep making homemade laundry soap in it. This was worth it. If I need more 5 gal, buckets I will get this one again.

Doesn't come with the padded handle as listed or pictured.

Yep, it's a bucket. But extra nice because (1) it's got that padded handle, and (2) it's a very reasonable price, (3) it does have some measuring lines in case I do anything that needs them, and (4) it came to my door in two days without my needing to make a special trip to get one. :-)

So I order six of these nice green buckets that I'm going to use for mosquito larvae traps (in combination with mosquito dunk. look it up), and I specifically order these instead of the ones from 'Big Orange' store because of the nice green color that won't stand out in my yard. And then they put these big annoying white warning stickers on the side telling you that a baby can drown in the bucket (yes, and if you smack the bucket on the baby's head, it won't be good either) and they're IMPOSSIBLE to remove. Nicely done guys. Well-thought through!Other than that, the buckets seem all right. They seem standard size because the hydroponic lids I ordered fit these and a big orange bucket exactly. They have more flex than the big orange ones, which could be a good thing or not, I don't know. Good enough for my purpose, except for that darn stupid sticker!Update 9/1/23: Got a tip to use a hairdryer to warm up the stickers, which supposedly makes it easy to remove them. Will try this after mosquito season when I have to clean the buckets anyway.

I use this bucket for my aquarium water changes/mixing up new water and this saves so much time. Well made like a home store bucket except it’s clear!

Just what I needed, what can you say about a 5 gallon bucket? Well first off, the bucket seems to be well made. Also the line indicators on the side of the bucket is clearly visible and you can see the contents of the bucket from the side instead of having to look down into the bucket from the top. I have been using the bucket for my tank's top off water source, and it is perfect for what I am using it for. I am happy with my purchase.

This bucket is poorly described and also poor quality. The bucket has two relevant flaws: First the handle foam grip is inadequate. The internal plastic support ring is excessively short, the foamy portion of the grip is exaggeratedly long, the final equation is your hand will cut into the metal support shaft with an empty bucket. Once you put anything inside of the pail it will only get worse, wear gloves.Second, the mounting points for the metal handle shaft to attach with the plastic bucket is drastically thin and flimsy. There is no way for the shaft and more-so the plastic to support the weight of a half-full bucket of water. Please carry this bucket with caution if any contents are inside, I foresee this pail being a toe-smasher.The Pros: the bucket is Opaque enough to view the approximate fill lines. We have a old HD version of a comparable bucket, the HD product is no longer available and it was much more transparent.Someone at Encore took the cheap plastic mold approach and failed to provide an adequate measurement bucket capable of being useful. Proceed with Caution, we will return this bucket.Daniel
