Many years ago ( about 50) I worked in pastels.
These are easy to use. Like all good pastels they make a mess. Which can be cleaned up easily enough. They blend well. These are beautifully colored and not as expensive as some.

Got this for Hair Chalking
My step daughter is in those early teenage years...she loves doing crazy stuff with her hair. :-) So I thought this would be a good, non-permanent solution to her "experimenting".A word of warning though, if you are new to "chalking" It IS messy! You really want gloves and either a towel or make-up cape or something. This will protect your hands from getting "stained" (it doesn't last LONG...but you will have colored fingers for a majority of the day if you don't use gloves)...and the dust from the chalk as you run it through your hair will get on your clothes and may cause issues, probably not "permanent" staining issues,...but enough. So you want them covered.But overall, this a a great set of chalks, a beautiful array of colors, and the perfect size for hair chalking.

Not as smooth as some pastels but nice colors
These are mini’s and firmer and a little scratchy/brittle. Unfortunately had a dark purple one shear off on an edge and didnt see it until too late and it has made quite an awful mess on my tan carpet. Hope it can be cleaned somewhat.

The pigment is nice but it is also very small and may run out quickly if you are using one color only
