I had to unscrew some bolts and move around a few engine stuff above the air filter compartment, what a task that was, but I feel so good and more informed about cars (well, just my hondas). I don't know much to earn bragging rights but I did it with my purple garden gloves and it felt great afterward. I'm usually very girly but I have to admit, doing little work on my car when I have time is actually fun. My husband guided me and the look of approval from the work made it all worth it. We decided on this more expensive air filter after going over the other options. This one seems reputable, more pricy than other air filters bit this one is high performance and reusable. So, I'm sure it will pay for itself making it a good and smart investment.

25k so far and I checked last week and it looks still like brand new. Love that I don't have to change it every 10-12k miles.

Bought this with "Free" shipping, it said it was going to be here on March11, got here the 8th! Once I got it installed, it was very noticeable. My car's (2003 Honda Accord; 4CYL Auto) engine was much smoother feeling, it would rev quicker also. The quicker throttle response and slight increase in power is awesome for the price! Note: After installing it (at least on my car) the "Check Engine" light might go on, but I read that it is common. To turn it off, disconect the battery for 10 mins. Warning: You will lose your radio presets and will have to reset your clock.

It's impossible to tell if this air filter improves air flow intake, horsepower, and fuel economy, as the manufacturer claims. If so, I would imagine the results are very, very small, and you would need some kind of crazy equipment to detect these changes. However, I will agree that this air filter is of superb quality when compared to the typical disposable filters (which also work fine), and K&N does seem to take pride in the product they are building. The price is a bit high, but it's discounted on Amazon, and really not that much more than a disposable one.

I typically keep my car for 10 years so for me this filter is a good investment. If you plan on keeping your vehicle for only a few years, it's probably not the best investment although you will likely experience an unnoticeable slight boost in engine performance.I've installed k&n filters on every vehicle I've owned and for me they just make sense. Note that there's some slight maintenance required with these filters. You must clean and lube them every year but the cleaning kit will last you 20 years due to the frequency of use.Overall good value for those who hate throwing away money on disposable air filters. The Amazon price is unbeatable as well!

I got sick of the people at Valvoline telling me my filter was dirty every single oil change (I only go if I have the $15 oil change coupon, by the way, so don't judge.) I picked up this filter, dropped it in pretty easily (I am not a big car guru but I am usually pretty handy at following instructions), and it seems great. I don't think I've gotten more power or gas mileage as some claim, but shifting gears does seem the tiniest bit smoother. I'd say it's worth the price but by no means a necessary upgrade. Still, a well-made product at a competitive price from a respected brand is hard to pass up.
