Genuine Real Mikuni 36mm Round Slide High Performance Carburetor Carb VM36-4 by Niche Cycle

I put this carb on my 95 Yamaha Warrior 350 due to the stock carburetor not being reliable after several rebuilds. this carb works well and the only things I had to buy to make it fit were a 90 degree adapter for the throttle cable, a longer throttle cable, and a different intake manifold.

The carb is great and high quality like all mikuni's, but a word of warning. Do not use unstabilized ethanol fuel in this carb, it will corrode the aluminum and its a pain to clean once it does. If this problem does happen to you, clean it with carb cleaner and a wire brush to remove the corrosion and run some quality REC 90 through it and it should be fine. Make sure to clean your pilot jet as well.

I got this for my 1980 Suzuki RS 250 that I've been restoring to running condition. Just started it up on 1/1/23! The carb works great!!!

We received a used part. Not sure how we got a defiled carburetor, but mistakes happen. Upon returning the carb promptly to the seller, the seller rewarded us with refusing to issue to refund. They claimed the “restock fee” was the entire price of the Carburetor. They never communicated, emailed, responded or attempted to contact.The carb as it was, didn’t work, didn’t run, didn’t even have the parts. “New” is certainly a stretch of the imagination.

This does work on a Suzuki savage BUT it requires a different throttle cable and flange that connects to the motor. It will not just plug in. If you do get the two above mentioned items, the savage will run like a beast.

This is an excellent simple carburetor for retrofitting on older bikes. Although I did have an issue with my float bowl cracking a few months after I installed it.

The Mikuni VM series of carbs are excellent. They are high quality, last forever, and are easty to tune. I replaced the worn out stock carb on my 1978 XT500 with this carb and the bike starts easier and runs so much better now. I did have to re-jet the carb to work properly with my bike, but that's to be expected.

Great carb, but super hard to properly get it jetted. Unusual choke also. When deactivated, it runs like it's on, and when it's on, the rpm's suddenly drop, like it's backwards... Regardless, there is tons of power in this carb so enjoy!
