Very good transfer to Bluray!
Silsila is not a great film. It had good perfomances and great music. That's it. The reason one should try out the BD is to see how well Yashraj films are digitizing their old films. And that's where they are miles ahead of other vendors such as Eagle, who are also bringing out BDs of old Hindi films.But this print has the complete 182 minutes of the film.Silsila looks excellent on BD. No more of the washed out appearance. The colors are lively, and there is a bit of grain as well, thus rendering a sharp image. Not at all like the glossy DVDs. And the best part is that the audio is not tampered with, but enhanced. Not only do the songs play well, but the dialogues too are easily audible.I give it 4 stars because there are a couple of scenes that are not mastered well and look faded. Also, there are scenes in which the dialogues are very softly spoken, and the audio is very low.I am quite happy I bought the BD!

This movie is a gem of Hindi cinema and the extraordinary chemistry between Amitabh and Rekha has already entered movie folklore.Watching such movies, make one feelsorry for the present generation who are fed up with the lilipoot Khans who look like second rate comedians at the best. SILSILA remains a landmark in Hindi cinema and enabled Amitabh Bacchan to create an inter generational appeal.The present Blu ray is good, after all in India we hardly find the attitude to please the audience truly. Good sounding LP by Sony DADC.
Very good sound stage with minimum digital compression very pleased. My LP is manufactured in 8/2016. I give it four star because my LP is wrapped.Recommended.....

Brought up in Singapore as a child and used to go to my next door neighbours to watch all the black and white Indian films Loved this DVD and one of my favourite actors Amitabh Bachan!
