Q: Do I have to put the hepa filter and the carbon filter or just one of these in the tpo-4 model

Please be guided by Maker's recommendation. I usually change both. The indication of Filter quality is visible on the App and the control screen

I bought this wonderful machine 8-9 months back and used it daily, most days for 10 hours per day and some times upto 16 hours per day. And both the filters (normal and hepa filter) lasted 7-8 months. Recently changed them. Their service is 10/10. They really look after their Clients. Are very professional. No wonder such MNC companies do well. Great product and great service. Touch wood. I call my Dyson Bhaisaab. Cos he protects the house :) I am not connected to this company in any way. A normal Amazon customer.

Based on 12 hour a day usage running in maximum purifier mode, we would recommend that you replace your HEPA filters after 12 months to maintain acceptable purifier performance. The carbon filters should be replaced following the same timeframe, under the same usage conditions, maintain acceptable gaseous filtration performance. The filter life indicator can be found both on the LCD screen on the machine, and within the Dyson Link app. Also, the filters are readily available and will never be discontinued.
