Great frame, easy to assemble, easy to store, and just altogether great! Love the unfinished wood and sleep on it every night. No problems so far!

Ignore the bad reviews
This bed is solid, easy to assemble, and easy to move. I just bought a new house and will be having my floors redone soon, so I wanted a bed I don’t have to disassemble. This is perfect. I bought this with “temporary” in mind, but I love it and will keep it as long as it will have me.A few (truly a few, 2 or 3) small (very small) spots with green tint and darkening in the wood. Regardless, it’s solid, quality wood, and the mattress covers any small areas of dark wood/staining, etc. Ridiculous to be upset over this.VERY easy to assemble. You really don’t need a mallet or power drill (many reviews indicate you do). I suppose if you are seriously lacking in muscle tone, sure get out those tools. I’m a professional artist, not a body builder, and all I needed to assemble this bed was a basic screw driver.Lay out and organize all your pieces. Read the directions, then read them again. Study the pictures as you go. Take your time. If something doesn’t fit, or you are thinking holes were drilled incorrectly by the manufacturer, it is almost certainly user error. There is a negative review by “David” with 246 thumbs ups saying that the bed wobbles and the slat grill would not fit on the rails due to holes drilled in the wrong places. I can tell you from looking at his photos that he built the bed incorrectly. The “feet” must be INSIDE the bed rails. Had he done that step correctly, the slats would have connected to the rails perfectly. My point being: use your brain, take your time, and re-assess the instructions if things “aren’t fitting” because you are probably doing it wrong.Lastly, I’m not a small woman, and I have 2 giant breed dogs. We all fit on this bed without a wobble or squeak in sight. Very sturdy.I have a 14 inch mattress which makes the bed feel like a regular height, not remotely too close to the ground.Ignore the bad reviews, they are grumpy folks who can’t follow instructions.Buy it!6-week update: Zero issues! 100% quiet and stable. Has held a mattress-human-dogs combined weight of 550 lbs nightly and been moved a few times with absolutely no issues.

Truly amazing craftsmanship and perfect for small spaces!
This piece of furniture is amazing. It’s a long story, but my family moved to a tiny house, and my husband and I ended up using two standard twins next to each other as a “king” surrogate. I had box springs on the floor and grew worried about the lack of air circulation, so I started to look for something that was low profile and would enable me to put two twins right up next to each other. I just assembled two of these, and they work beautifully for this purpose. First of all, there is no overhang on any of the four sides. The dimensions match my standard-length twin mattress exactly. Secondly, it is extremely well designed. It reminds me of something the Amish might create—so simple yet so elegant and utilitarian. It was actually a pleasure to put together, and I was able to do it easily by myself without my husband here for a second set of hands. I did use an electric drill and a metal hammer to help place the wooden dowels and some other areas. My husband tells me poplar is a good hardwood, and it held up to light hammering, although I’d recommend a rubber mallet if you have that (I don’t). The bed folds up nicely for great storage, and it’s easy to move around. The directions even include tips on how to stain it and an explanation about the coloring and composition of poplar wood. I honestly kept thinking how much nicer this furniture is than my expensive Restoration Hardware furniture, which has a disappointing amount of veneer in it. This solid wood item is beautiful and made me appreciate true craftsmanship. Finally, it’s 100% made in the US of A. How can you beat that? It’s excellent quality, brilliantly designed, very reasonably priced, and it’s American. I will be checking out their other products!

Beautiful high quality bed frame, easily assembled
After unpacking the pieces and organizing them, my daughter and I built this bed in about 2 hours, including light sanding and finishing with danish oil. It fits our tatami mat and Japanese-made twin Xl futon mattresses perfectly and is perfect for those visitors who don't mind sleeping on a futon but would rather not sleep on the floor. It's also very pretty, and folds up small enough to go into the closet.

EASY install
This bed is very sturdy, unless you don't care about gas, you sure can take it camping. it is heavy!!I got the full size, took me 45 mintues install, reading instruction took 25 minute, there are only 5 pictures of the installation. Lucky it is clear and easy-fun install. Sure you need your arm width long enough for the width of the bed in order to clamp the sides in during istallation, but sure you can push it against a wall or something.parts are well made, very little wood chip and dust in the box, it arrived in such compact form. The materal is premium, I like how smooth everything is.Me and my dog over 300lbs no problem tested on Full size. The gap of the frame is defiatly a draw back, but if you have mattress thicker than 8 inch shouldn't feel it.I have a 6 inch thick futon on top of a rug and a comforter. I can feel the ribs when sitting on the bed but not laying on it.The wood has no smell and feels very dry. I feel like laying on a bacon drying rack except it is cousioned.I like how it folds up so i can clean up under the bed and use the aera to play with my dog.BUY it before the price went up or product out of stockThis is the item that last for generations, there is no part can be broken except the bed on frame indrilling , which can be easly glued back with wood glue.During installation, it is the best to put some wood glue too, but I didn't lube nor put on any glue, it works perfect, there is no sound no movement what so ever, will be reviewing it long term for sure.I sure won't be worried under mattress mold or dust building up, it is very dry and warm to sleep on.

Impressively sturdy and easy to assemble
I love that there is zero plastic in this product, other than the small bag that the screws and dowels came in. The instructions are simple and clear. The product itself is made of decently hard wood. While it is a guest bed, and not likely to be used until Christmas time I did lie down on it myself for a few minutes on a 4" foam mattress. I am sure my guest will sleep well and after they leave I can hide it under my bed.
