The description on both of these products by Amazon was very unclear. It is also misleading. In Amazon's description for both products, it says, "This 12 foot, 1/2 inch wide tape measurer has right-to-left and left-to-right reading options." THEY DON'T! Just to let you know, the KMS7723 reads from (Right to Left) only. The KMS7724 reads (Left to Right) only. I took a gamble and ordered them both because they had different item numbers. I received what I was hoping for. It clearly shows on the product packaging that I received as to which is what. I hope this helps someone out that needs to purchase tapes that read from one direction or the other or need both as I did so that you receive what you are expecting.

We have been marking our kids heights in our closet on the wall for the last 4 1/2 years. When the boys would ask how tall they were I would have to run and find a tape measure to measure from the floor to their mark on the wall. I wanted to find a chart but I only found cutesy baby type ones that went to about 4 feet. My 13 year old son still likes to be measured so I was not finding what I needed. Then I wondered if anyone sold a tape measure with an adhesive backing and SURE ENOUGH they do. Then the hardest decision was what width? Right or Left? ha ha Anyway, it is now stuck to our closet wall and the boys can check their own height any time they choose. I even have my mark up there to prove to them and myself that I am STILL 5'8".

I recently added the Kreg bench top self-adhesive measuring tape to my setup, and it’s been a really handy addition. The installation process was quick and easy. The measurements are clear and easy to read, even in lower light conditions, which is a huge plus. It’s saved me so much time during projects because I can glance down and have accurate measurements right there on the workbench. The durability is impressive too; even with regular use and exposure to sawdust, the tape remains in great condition without any signs of peeling or fading. It’s made a noticeable difference in my projects.

I bought several of these tape measures for fences I was making for saws in my workshop. They are very substantial, nice sharp markings, adhere extremely well (on a clean surface), and easy to install. What more can you ask? I do which Craig made a shorter version. My longest fence is 4' so I wasted an awful lot of material. I made the mistake on the first tape of just measuring from the blade to the point at which I indexed the tape measure. NOT! Remember, when installing them, to measure to the leading edge of your stop block, but mark along the cursor line to index the tape location. The tape needs to line up with the cursor. Fortunately, because the tape is made of such sturdy material, I was able to remove it and reinstall it at the proper location.

So far so good. Sticky side really sticks so make sure you are ready when it goes down.

Used this for a stop block for my radial arm saw. Check the direction of the numbers before buying as you can have the fence on the left or right. Sticks very well and number are very easy to see. The tape is metal for those curious.

Used this tape for my miter station build. Worked great.
