Just ok
Ok here is how I would grade the book on terms of each part.***Overall this book is good if you plan to TAKE the test. Not STUDY FOR the test. There are 2 test sections in the book so you get to take the test only 2 times in the book. This book is not designed to give you deeper knowledge on materials that you may want to cover. It just gives you 2 tests that you can practice only once on. The good part is that the book will give you an idea on what type of questions may appear on the real test. Another perk about the book is that at the end of the test section, all the answers are there plus an explanation on the answers except for like the spelling part which is just spelling...I will grade each section from an A to an F.---------------------------------Verbal: A. The words are good enough and it gives you a great sense in how the format will be on the real test. The only problem is that the book here has too many words that means something very far off or is just too close, but most of the words are fine for this part of the book.Arithmetic: C. You do get an ok idea on how the format may be. The problem for this is that the math problems are a little too easy then compared to the real test itself. The word problems do fall in line with them being kind of like the real test. One problem I know that the book didn't have is a gear in motion type of word problem. I remember that was on the real test, but this book didn't have that.Nonverbal: D. The real test is more about the shapes. This book just has symbols instead of just shapes. I'd say this is the easiest part of the test so you shouldn't worry too much.---------------------------------Spelling: A. What can I say more? Spelling is just plain spelling. The book represents a very good idea on how the spelling will be on the real test. Granted, the words are not going to be the same, but the book gives you a great idea on how the real test will try to trick you. You just need to know how to spell and that's it. I suggest you watch youtube videos on spelling grammar like the rule.."I before E except after C."Reading Comprehension: C. Ok this part is a little weird. I gave it a C before the book does exactly what the test does, but the passage in the book is a lot easier then the real test. The real test may throw you a very boring topic plus the sentence structure is much more complex. The book is more like "read the question then find your answer in the passage" while the test is read the passage and critically think for the right answer since it may not be straight in your face.Natural Science: B. Science is science. You will need to know more then what the book is giving you for instance the biology portion of the test is right on spot in the book. The downfall portion is the chemistry in the book. I believe the chemistry is harder in the book then it is in the real test. I doubt the chemistry will have complex reactions. I also knew that the book was missing some of that anatomy science along with physics that the real test had and the book doesn't.==========================================================In the end I would recommend this book and practicing the test before taking the real one. It will give you a good balanced idea on where you are going to be placed. First study everything you can think of without opening the first test section in the book. After that, take the first section test and see how you did. Next, restudy the questions so you know what may be on the real test. Lastly, take the last section, section 2, of the test and see how well you did.I will edit this later to add more stuff.

Good Prep for PSB
I’m reviewing this book based on my experience taking the PSB test in June 2018I found the book helpful overall in preparing myself for the PSB test as it allowed me to simulate the actual test experience. This help to lessen my nerves going into the test.I timed myself for each section (based on the time allowed) & this helped me to prepare mentally. When I first saw the # of questions versus the time allowed (see below), I thought I could not answer all questions in that time. After taking both practice tests, I was confident I would have time to spare.Another aspect of the practice tests that helped me were they helped focus my studying. I failed the science section of the 1st practice test & this showed me I needed to seriously study for the science part. I did great on the language sections so I didn’t spend any time studying for them. Finally, the practice tests are much harder than the actual PSB (from my experience with the test) so they were helpful to me as they forced me to over-prepare. This allowed me to be more successful than I would have been.WEAKNESS: Book does not give you the time allowed for each section of the test. How can a practice test prepare without giving you the times for each section? Beats me.ALERT: PSB does NOT allow calculators so be prepared to do all math by hand.TEST TIMES: Academic Aptitude 75q 40 min, Spelling 45q 15m, Reading Comp 35q 35m, Nat. Science 60q 25m, Vocational Adjustment Index 90q 15min

GREAT help for test prep!
These test questions were a HUGE help to me. The answer key explains how the answers were found, rather than just giving the correct answer. This allowed me to get a little more familiar with concepts that are foreign to me (I haven't taken a general science class in 14 years). I scored in the upper-90% range for each section of the test!! So happy I purchased this book!I found a few minor errors in this book though. In one instance, the answer key refers to a wrong choice (e), but the corresponding question has no choice e. And for one of the answers in the non-verbal section, the answer was entirely wrong and didn't match up with the question. This is why it's helpful to actually read the answer explanations and not just the correct letter.

Very Helpful Material!
I purchased this book no so long ago and let me tell you that I have made a perfect decision to purchase this book. I had never taken the PSB test before. I had heard a lot of girls complaining they kept failing, so I was pretty worried. I bought this about a month ago, and I absolutely think it has helped me a lot. I haven't taken a science or math class since high school 2 years ago, and it was great overview of all the important sciences. I have not taken the test but will be taking the test end of this year, and I think this book has definitely provided me with enough knowledge already to prep for my exam. I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking to take the PSB exam because it will definitely help you.

Great book in prepping you in what the exam will ...
Great book in prepping you in what the exam will look like, however the money spent was more pricey than the worth. I do not see myself using this book again other than the half hour I spent going through it. All you have to know going into these exams are that it is timed, and the trick is answering all the questions you know, skipping the ones you don't, and going back and guessing on the questions you don't know. You do not get a penalty for answering a question wrong. You get credit for all the answers you get correct. So answer all the ones you know, and go back and fill in the rest as much as you can. Only reason I am giving this 3 stars is because I feel like it's not worth the price in the long run.

Great for studying
I'll give it a four because the way that the workbook starts it has practice exam right away. I like it when it starts with explaining or helping you understand what you'll see through out and how to practice. Other then that it helps because I've seen this through out my courses and it helping me understand what is required to take the exam.
