Slide in and click into place. I have a nice computer, but it kept running slower and slower and the hard disk became a dinosaur in three years. So I bought a 1 TB SSD and used the HDD in an external drive as huge storage for my photos and videos. I upgraded from 8 GB to 32 GB of RAM today. Got this to almost Max out a Dell OptiPlex 3070. Make sure before you install the ram that you have the latest firmware for the mother board loaded. Loads up fine and works well. Using this system as a Test bed Proxmox system with VMs right now three systems are linux and one Windows test VM, systems all load fine with this memory.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Package arrived early, but did not work in my HP. Currently working on a replacement. Blank screen, blinking CAPS LOCK. Old RAM booted right back up.**UPDATE**Original package was obviously pre-opened and taped shut. Someone probably slipped bad chips in. Not sure why anyone would re-sell something in that condition. New package was obviously BRAND NEW. Put them in my 17 inch HP laptop, and sh'es running smoothly. I use it exclusively for TV, and it's giving much better performance! Changed from 2 stars, to 5 stars. So far, much smoother!
