Best mold release
Perfect, good sized can. Functions perfectly, great value if you’re looking for a silicon on silicon release.

Great for epoxy release
I have a few large silicone molds for projects. I used to use epoxy tape to prevent sticking of the epoxy in the seams. I didn't think a release spray would work and didn't want to lose my project (or the mold) because of bound epoxy. I finally used this on the sides of one of the molds because the silicone surface had some scratches that might promote sticking. The spray worked so well that I only used it for the next new pour. There was essentially no sticking. The piece popped out so easily ... I'll never go back to tape for this. I recommend it strongly and will continue to buy. No complaints; great product.

This isn't as important to molding and casting as the manufacturer would like you to think...
That said, it's not bad. Smooth-on's instructional videos say that you should slather this stuff on when you're making a two-part mold, so the mold halves won't stick together, and things resin-cast don't stick to the mold pieces, and the molds will last longer. A little-right's better than all-wrong, I guess. This stuff does NOT keep the two halves of a rubber casting mold from sticking together; far from it. I had to hand-carve two rubber bricks open before figuring the trick out (don't use this; use Vaseline or something similar on the contact faces). This stuff DOES slick the pieces of the mold up so that when you pour in your resin (I do two-part squash molds, so I'm rough on my molds) it won't stick to the rubber nearly as much. There'll always be a little cling, but this does minimize that. For those of us using the less-expensive weaker and 'tear-prone' molding rubbers, this does extend the life of those otherwise-limited rubbers greatly. Sometimes you really have to slather it on, in contravention of given instructions, but it does that "release" job pretty well. Get a can or two if you're going to be doing a serious amount molding; it'll make your investment in the rubber of the mold go that much farther.

Works great on multiple surfaces
I use this in my cement molds and it works like a charm I also have used this in resin and I can honestly say I have no complaints

Great product, poor packaging
I've bought and used Smooth On products for a while and this is the first time I've had an issue. The product arrived to me with a broken nozzle. The straw broke inside the can itself, so I can't pull it out and replace the nozzle. I'd be happy to brush it on instead, but any attempt to stick anything in the top of the can has left me covered in cold product and propellant, I can't get it to drip nicely into a cup. I started using it at least a month after the order, so it's well outside Amazon's return window. When there's no packaging issues, the mold release is great, does the job with no fuss and no muss.

Works well, but it's a bit pricey. Effective for most mold-making tasks, but there are more affordable alternatives available.

Although this was a gift and unknown to me how the product may actually perform. I find that the price is a on the high side though don't know, could have gold in its creation lol. Received very quickly
