Works very well. I think some people act like it should be taking muck out like if you were dredging your pond thats not how this works. It took along time for muck to build up so trust the process. Plus use an aerator

It took a while but we have definitely noticed a significant difference in the amount of muck around our dock and swimming area. We followed the directions and have been keeping up with it for almost two years now. Great product.

I purchased this product as a desperate hope it could help my pasture pond, which was absolutely choked with algae from a dead tree we couldn't get removed for weeks due to the ground being too saturated. The first dose, thrown into the mucky pond, did absolutely nothing, which was very disappointing to me. However, then we got another rain burst that flooded the pond and washed about 80% of the algae downstream. So with the intent to do the "aggressive" treatment (i.e. throwing in treatment every two weeks), I added in the next recommended dose to the remaining 20% of algae still floating around the pond. Three days later, the change is dramatic. About 5% of it is gone completely, and the rest is starting to die. So I eagerly anticipate what another month of treatment will do to the health of my pond. In all, anybody looking to use this product needs to keep these two important things in mind: it will NOT help a pond that is choked or otherwise drowning with algae. For that, your only recourse is probably physical removal of said growth, or being lucky like me and getting a well-timed flood. Secondly, temperature is probably another factor that is dramatically improving the performance of the second dose. The first dose was thrown in while temps were still relatively cool (low 70's), but within a few weeks our temps around here have spiked to high 80's and humid. This stuff definitely starts cranking when the temps start to rise. I'll update again in a month (two more doses), but if the last three days is any indication, I anticipate a pond completely clear of algae growth by then. And that will make me a VERY happy customer, and perfectly willing to continue purchasing this product despite its higher price.*Several months and a summer's worth of treatment later*: Our pond experienced a massive drought, which really dropped the water level and stagnated things. However, through it all, the water (that was left) never fouled with algae growth. I have maintained treatment every two weeks, and I think had I not the pit would have become a stinking sump. WILL definitely be purchasing again next year.

We bought this muck away for our small 55 acer lake and our shore line. It had a great sandy bottom but nobody did anything with it. I heard about this product from the DNR site. We raked the bottom of the lake on our side because we wanted faster results. The grandkids wouldn’t use the lake because of the muck. It was a lot of work to rake it. But still we couldn’t get all of it so we applied the muck away and in one week you could see a big difference . By the end of the month we could see our neighbors muck was improving also without raking. The key was to make sure the water was warm and you used a lake rake to stir the bottom each day also. The other side of our dock were we didn’t rake also made a huge difference too. I believe our lake shore was improved faster because we worked everyday stirring up the bottom to help the muck away get down deeper. I will say that it took 6 weeks to get it where I wanted it but the grandkids used the lake everyday swimming after that. I will be using it in the future and my neighbors also asked and they too will be getting some.

Keeps the ponds clear of the muck and sludge . And it’s easy to use.

We have an older, spring fed pond in our backyard. We used to swim when kids were younger but now everyone is gone and the muck seems so be building up. We used this for 3 years now and it does make the bottom nicer. The sand looks lots better without a layer of much on it.

Not seeing the results I had hoped for, but not giving up hope yet, as this product worked for me last year.
