This device saved me a fortune by turning my wired Bose headset into wireless!
UPDATE: June 24, 2023Originally, I gave the AirMod a 4 ⭐ rating because of its design that 1) doesn't permit charging while using it and 2) requires use of a non-standard, proprietary cable for charging. However, I've since revised my rating to 5 ⭐.Now, 5 years after purchase, I'm still using this adapter with my Bose QC 15 headphones, which, amazingly, are still working well after 13 years! I've had to replace the ear pads on them about every 2 years, and all of the leather on the headband has nearly worn off, which means that the padding is gone, too. Yet they are still very comfortable. Before getting this AirMod adapter, I never used my QC 15 headphones. In fact, I lost the original cable that came with the headphones years ago. However, since owning the AirMod BT converter, I don't feel the need to use cables, even though I use my Bose headphones nearly every day. Even with all of that use over the past 5 years, I still get at least 6 to 8 hours of battery life per day per charge, and the AirMod has worked flawlessly with every phone and other Bluetooth device I've ever tried it with! The only reason I'm posting this update is because I came to Amazon because thought I'd lost my charging cable (I found it). I was worried that I wouldn't be able to find a replacement, since the product is so old.Well, I was thrilled to know that, not only can I a purchase another AirMod for $45, which is what I paid for my current one back in 2018, but I could purchase a replacement charging cable for only $10! I'm just going to go ahead and purchase a second unit so that I will always have one charged and ready to go, since the unit can't be used while charging, and I'll also have a spare cable on hand!ORIGINAL REVIEW...Bose should just partner with these folks. I had an old Bose QuietComfort 15 headset that I was going to get rid of because I wanted the convenience of wireless. I saw this device on Amazon and decided to try it because of the large number of positive reviews. I didn't expect it to work so well! Now, I'm still using my Bose headphones at least 7 years after buying them, plus, I saved a fortune by not having to purchase the dedicated wireless pair.PROS- Fits so nicely onto the Bose headset that you'd think it was a factory mod; you can even leave it attached and the headphones will still fit nicely inside the original Bose headphone case- Good sound quality- Pairs very quickly using a dedicated pairing button- Able to control volume, fast forward to next song, and rewind to previous songCONS- Can only pair with a single device at a time. Personally, I like this feature because I don't have to worry about interruptions from another device, and since this connector pairs so quickly, switching devices is easy.- I wish it had an OFF/ON switch with dedicated positions. Instead, this connector has a single OFF/ON button that you have to hold for a few seconds.- For charging, uses a connector that is USB A to 1/16" female. I wish that it used USB A to micro-USB or USB C. When I travel, I have to always make sure to carry this extra connector with me. Fortunately, it fits nicely inside the original Bose headphones case.- The fast-forward/rewind buttons are shared with volume up/down, which is not ideal, but does save on cost.- When finished with a listening session, you have to remember to turn off both this connector and the Bose headphones themselves.

Solid performer, easy to use, and wireless for the Bose is excellent!
Saw this as an option when changing ear pads and thought I'd go for it. It's been about 20 months and this thing is still going strong! I forgot it had to be charged because the internal battery lasts so long! Went on vacation for two weeks, used this thing a few hours each day after I hadn't used it for months, and not only did it last the entire two weeks, I didn't get a low-battery warning until several days after the vacation! That's the main feature that prompted this review.Sound Quality: I do not notice any difference between this and the plugged-in version.Bluetooth: I've had to re-pair by clicking 'connect' on my Windows 10 Bluetooth device manager a few times, but once connected, it's pretty solid. Have used it on my laptop, which has disconnected this and other Bluetooth items too often, but on my iPad Pro...perfect. So my main device is a desktop with a USB Bluetooth adapter - 4.0. It's worked perfectly. In summary, it's a reliable, super-lightweight device that fits perfectly into the Bose QC-15 headphone jack and is barely noticeable. No more wires, long-lasting battery, solid connection, and excellent sound quality. What more is there?

My initial experience has been excellent. The AirMod fits perfectly and is very unobtrusive
My new Pixel 2XL lacks a headphone jack (thanks, Google), so I decided to try a wireless approach with my Bose QC-15s vs. using Google's headphone dongle. I use the headphones primarily on airplanes, and I've yanked the cord out by accident countless times when I stand up and catch the cord on something. The idea of being unencumbered by wires was appealing. My initial experience has been excellent. The AirMod fits perfectly and is very unobtrusive. Pairing with my iPad and phone was easy. On a recent set of flights I used the headphones primarily with my iPad, and they reconnected instantly when I turned them on. Sound quality was fine, but I'm not particularly demanding. After 400K air miles and plenty of terrestrial use, my Bose QC-15s have a new lease on life. I love the fact that they don't require charging - unlike some newer models. Carry a few spare AAAs, and you'll never run out of juice halfway to Sydney. I replaced the deteriorating foam earpads not long ago (with Bose QC2, QC15, AE2, AE2i, AE2w, QuietComfort Headphone Replacement Ear Pad / Ear Cushion / Ear Cups / Ear Cover / Earpads Repair Parts (Coffee / Brown)), so with any luck I've got years of quiet, cord-free listening ahead.Pros:- perfect fit to QC-15s- very light and almost invisible- no cord to yank out by accident (obviously)- when attached, fits inside standard Bose case with no problem- quality design and manufacturingCons:- must be removed from headphones to charge- unique custom charge cable (USB to headphone jack), yet another thing to carry & not lose- battery probably won't last for very long international flights, based on reviews by others
