Secrets of the CDA Exam Study Guide: DANB Test Review for the Certified Dental Assistant Examination

This is a concise study aid for the DANB exams. I bought the Infection control and Radiology books prior to the CDA one and they were helpful. The practice tests and answer rationales at the end are a good practice tool! The price is reasonable!

I purchased this book on the recommendation from a friend that used this book for her studying. So far, I love the layout and really loved the practice exams in the back. I love that it’s broken down into sections so it is easier to read and follow as well as understand it.

I have never had formal training as a dental assistant and I have been a dental assistant for 27 years. I felt the study guide opened my eyes to things I never really knew before.Something as small as how to tell the difference of maxillary and mandibular teeth. I didn't need to know that since I when I would report to the Dentist which tooth it was already in the mouth.

I took my DANB 2 hours ago and passed!!! I only took the radiography and infection control parts today and will take the general chairside later. This is the only thing I used to study for the test and I recognized a lot of the material covered in this book on the test! Would recommend this book to anyone studying for the DANB! I did pass my EFDA exam with this book so I was thrilled about that! However, there were a lot of misspelled words. I was not sure I was getting the proper information. I was training in clinical as well as with the book so I am not sure which one helped me pass. If you are new to dental assisting I would buy a different book just in case.
