I worked as a Toolmaker in my early years, so used to sharpen drills for use on lathes etc. These drills are excellent value for money. They have a higher level of cobalt than HSS alternatives that make them harder and more resilient to wear. I purchased a box back in mid 2019 and I am still using them to this day for my DIY business. Where more populate branded HSS drills have failed these have stood the test of time. Admittedly, I have broken a few and some have worn, but these have been abused. These on the face of it seem relatively expensive, but they are truly economical because of their longevity. Best drills I’ve ever used outside of a professional workshop.

Been using these a few months now. I'm a mechanical engineer and these are pretty similar to the professional HSS sets that my work buy. No perceivable difference in durability or performance. When resharpening they just look like normal bright HSS bits underneath the bronze finish. I don't really know enough about 5% cobalt drill bits to say if this is normal or not. All i can say is they cut really well and they keep their edge just as long as the overpriced £150 rspro sets my work buy. They cut through 10mm 316 stainless and seem to be reasonably ductile as i haven't snapped any yet. I mainly hand drill and rarely use the pillar drill so i think this is good. There are plenty of 3.2, 3.5 and 4mm bits. Which is a major win in my eyes as they are a great size for pilot holes. They are abit stingey with the larger sizes though but aslong as you don't snap them they can be resharpened may times. The only negative is the grind on most of the 1.5-3mm bits are off centre and are not really usable as they are too small to resharpen by hand. That makes this closer to a 60 piece set than 99 however I've never found much use for them really small sizes anyway. Overall though this is a really good set and I'm impressed they can give at least 2 good bits of every size for the price a brand name would charge for 1 of each. Case is pretty nice too. I do think they need to update the page though as these twist drills are clearly not designed for brick and it makes me sad thinking people will instantly ruin these by using trying to use them on masonry. :'( Update: 1.5 years later this set is still going strong. I've snapped a few due to misuse but I definitely don't regret buying. They are a great set of drills. Take care of them. - Use cutting oil when you can to keep them cool - learn about speed and feed - Keep them sharp and don't try to use a blunt drill, go resharpen it.

Not the greatest drill bits in the world but certainly not the worst, not had any break on me yet and have drilled a lot of holes in various materials, did struggle in angle iron but did make it, come in a nice sturdy case and a lot of drills for the money.

These are great just got mine. I just do not understand why people have given 2 at 2% and 4 at 1% in the ratings, that is absolute rubbish, so take those nay sayers with a large pinch of salt as they are clearly noy happy unless they have something to moan about! These come in a nice metal case, drills are nice and sharp and go through wood like a knife through butter. If you listen to a few odd people moaning about theses then you are missing out. 5 stars from me!!

I usually buy name brand drill bits but these are performing excellently so far, drilling holes in 3mm thick mild steel chassis members with ease. One thing to note with cobalt bits it that whilst they're harder that also makes them more brittle and if you can't drill your hole straight they'll bind up and snap easier than a HSS bit would. This is obviously more prevalent in the smaller diameters but is true of all cobalt bits. When used properly they do last longer than HSS bits

Although not tested yet, these bits look to be of reasonable quality and will be of great use in my workshop.It is good that they’re in a quality metal container. The differing quantity of each size which reflects on how many break depending on the size is a good idea. I have numerous sets which are missing smaller sizes.

Arrived early, good price and quality.

These turned out to be better quality than I expected. Don't get me wrong they certainly aren't the best drill bits I've ever used but for the price I would recommend.

Ich war auf der Suche nach Bohrern, die gehärteten bzw. VA-Stahl bohren können und bin hier fündig geworden. Die ziehen ordentlich durch (bei guter Kühlung), was mich dabei auch noch beeindruckt hat, selbst beim Verkanten bzw. beim Treffen auf nen Grat bleibt die Bohrmaschine stehen oder dreht durch, der Bohrer bleibt ganz. Vorher hatte ich mit unzähligen abgebrochenen Bohrern bzw. deren Entfernen aus dem Loch zu kämpfen (wenn ich versuche alte Buchsen oder abgerissenen Schrauben auszubohren). Klare Kaufempfehlung von meiner Seite.

Très bonne lame je l'ai essayé sur de l'acier ça Perse très très bien je ne l'ai pas essayé sur la fonte comme il le préconise mais à voir par la suite je l'ai ai utilisés avec une perceuse Bosch qui était défectueuse donc j'en ai cassé quelques-uns mais je suppose qu'avec une bonne perceuse le problème sera résolu

Punte buone solo per bucare il ferro, e sempre con aiuto del lubrificante fai da te, olio di macchina anche usato, mescolando con acqua. Se cercate punte per acciaio o inox, non sono queste. Poi sono tantissime punte inutilizzabili almeno da me,da 1, 1,5 o2mm,

Sehr hohe Qualität für diesen Preis. Habe Edelstahlarbeiten durchgeführt und ich muss sagen , TOP. Wenn ich das mit den Bohrern hier im Baumarkt vergleiche und die Preise sehe, würde ich mich immer wieder für dieses Set entscheiden. Die Lieferung erfolgte ebenfalls sehr schnell. Ein sehr zu empfehlendes Produkt!
