Dancing Peacock Fern Leaf Japanese Maple Japanese Maple Aconitifolium - 3 Year Live Plant

Planted in the ground and doing well. Looking forward to seeing it mature!

Was skeptical. Trees arived - and with so many buyers saying trees were small, they seemed fine for me - These are japanese maples, not fruit trees! At about 14", this was the smallest of the 3, and wasn't initally my favorite, but has grown on me, especially when the fall colors hit. Before that it was kindof meh, but once the fall colors hit it was clear why they are called 'Peacocks' - The leaves fall color is actually multi-colored! Grafts could have been a little cleaner, but the tree was healthy. The other 2 trees, I could clearly see 3 levels of lignification, but don't recall checking on this one. Not sure when grafts were made, but would guess this spring or last fall. They were healed and healthy, even if not the prettiest grafting jobs. The whips of other two were bent over in an adequately large USPS box which was fine as they are still supple enough. This one was just small enough to not need to be bent over. Also bought an Ukiguomo and Shindeshojo. The peacocks are a bit easer to find, but I bought 3 for the better rate.

The plant was an Okay size, but was in good shape, new growth visable,graft looked healthy, very important. The box it arrived in was crushed, very surprised the plant wasn't.

The top turned black within the first week and then the base. We had one in the same area before that a storm took out.

The seller needs to tell that the tree is about 6" tall! 😢 All it said was its a year old, which didn't mean anything to me because I had no idea how tall a 1 year old tree would be. Hopefully it will grow, planted it in a large pot. We will have to wait and see. So I guess I'm saying, wasn't too thrilled with my purchase!

Arrived well packed and healthy. Its already in the ground. Should be a real head turner as it grows.. Just wanted everyone to know that it did arrive quick and healthy.

Small, but it is an expensive tree! Arrived timely and in good shape.

I waited to write my review to allow the tree a chance to get started. I was disappointed at first as the tree was very small. But it was a bargain price for this type of tree which is gorgeous and a little difficult to find. I am very happy with my tree now. It is healthy and well branched now. It is starting to leaf out now and is also covered with flowers. This tree is beautiful from spring to autumn. Fall colors will take your breath away. I highly recommend this tree and this seller. I have purchased a few other of their trees and all are doing very well. It is a very small tree to start but we'll worth it.
