Mr. Smith Jimi Sports Wallet (Ruby Red Jimi)

My husband LOVES these handy wallets. I purchased a red one (even though his black one of 2 years was still going strong) just because he wanted something easy to find and grab on the go. Only reason it doesn't get 4 stars is that it is transparent. I think it would be better being opaque. After all you use it to hold some important things - cc, license, cash, etc. Other than that, he loves it!

Its great for those people who don't carry much (if any) cash on them.The only downside is that the top hinge is somewhat flimsy (given the design); that was the part that tends to wear out first and was the reason why I had to replace my first one. Actually, its starting to wear a bit on my replacement already, but I love this thing and will more than likely buy yet another one once my current one inevitably wears out.

This makes my 3rd one. Great wallet for the beach, outdoorsy activities, or gym. Holds license, credit card or two, and maybe 3-4 folded bills. The plastic hinges *do* fail over time, but I still got a couple years' usage out of each of the first two.For what it is, it really shouldn't cost more than maybe $5. It loses a couple of stars for that fact alone.

I carried this wallet for a week or so before giving up on it. I like that it's solid and small in my pocket, but I couldn't fit as much as I needed to in it. Getting my debit card in and out was much slower than with my usual billfold. If you start out the day with a couple 20's you're fine until you start gathering smaller bills - they won't fit. My business cards don't quite fit and got dinged up. The hinge is just a weak, thin strip of plastic. The plastic looks and feels cheap.

I ride my bike a lot and this wallet is very handy for carrying essentials such as my drivers license, a credit card and a small amount of cash. It easily fits into a jersey pocket and leaves room for your arm warmers, energy bar, spare tube, etc. It's also handy for that quick errand when you don't want to carry lots of stuff. I've been using this wallet for 6 or 7 years (maybe more). The top hinge has worn and broken so I've purchased a replacement. This hinge is a little delicate but the wallet is not very expensive so replacing it every few years is no big deal.

I love this card holder. It holds my driver license, about four cards and a couple of business cards.It close property if the cards are placed in correctly. And it has a small are to place a small chain or string to wear around your neck.

I have had Jimi products before and this did not with stand the wear and tear as previous purchases. Not sure if it had anything to do with the color or not. Tried contacting Jimi direct and no response.

Bought this as a Christmas gift for my sister. She has it on a lanyard clip so she can easily open and show her work badge. She's mentioned that it keeps her from carrying too many bills as well--which to her is a good thing--otherwise the wallet won't close properly or opens by itself.
