Great choice.
I bought these at Amazon when they were on sale, for far less than Home Depot was asking for the exact same package of them at the time. They’re still working great many months later. I do use an Energizer brand charger so that may have something to do with it.

No rechargeable battery can beat the Energizer!
The Energizer Rechargeable Batteries are the best your money can buy! They take little time to charge. They hold a charge longer. I have other brands of rechargeable batteries but they can't compete with the Energizer.

Money saver!
Lower capacity rechargeable than some others but they seem to last as long. They charge quickly enough for my uses. Much cheaper than constantly changing out disposable, pay for themselves after a few recharges.

Good price, great warranty, but shorter run time - Returned (edited).
Edit: Speaking of confusion, appears I incorrectly posted this to the 4 pack Power Plus (B000BESLQK) instead of the correct 8 pack Power Universal (B00OFR34ZC). Ironic as it may be people are reporting Shorter Run Times since they are purchasing 700 mAh instead of 800mAh? --------------- Original Review --------------- Perhaps - after researching the differences - should have kept the batteries?? Will list below some of what I learned... Difference might be usage and requirements of individual devices. There apparently are two types of Energizer rechargeable batteries: -- Energizer Recharge Universal AAA at 700 mAh (this product). -- Energizer Recharge Power Plus AAA at 800 mAh. Recharge Universal can apparently be recharged Up To 1000 Times vs 500 for Recharge Power Plus. Recharge Universal has less capacity than the Power Plus (700 mAh vs 800 mAh). Universal batteries apparently are for Every Day Devices That Drain Batteries Fast, but devices I use tend to ? act up ? when the battery drains to a certain level, so chose longer charge over number-of-recharges. Unfortunately the Energizer website seems to compare Apples to Oranges by stating the AA (not AAA) Universal powers Handheld Gaming for Up To 500 Minutes while Power Plus AA does Up To 380 Minutes In... ...Toys(?!). Although they do say Universal (AA not AAA) handles Up To 165 Photos while Power Plus does 350. Wish I could have tried the Universals for a week to get a true comparison, but since I was returning them - sent back unused. NOTE: The Universal 8-pack I returned in June 2025 had a (Up To) TWELVE Year Battery Life! Called Energizer to ask, and was told those Universal batteries - by date code - had Warranty till 2036. In June 2025, Power Plus had a (Up To) Five Year Battery Life, so depends on usage/requirements. Up To 1,000 re-charges vs 500, Up To 12! Years vs 5 years, but 700 mAh vs 800 mAh. ?? Was Universal a better choice in the long run ?? May try again for Universal in 2026 now that I have actual information about the differences, and since my Power Plus batteries (5 year lifespan) have 2021 manufacture date codes so will need to purchase replacements next year anyhow.

Purchased repeatedly, and will again and again, as needed
Awesome! Repeat purchase. I use these with an Opus BT-9100 charger, and these are my go-to batteries for almost everything. They last - both in each use, and over recharge after recharge. Pro tip: charge as slowly as you can for the best overall battery life. I’ll use 200mA/h if I’m not in any hurry, 500mA/h to speed things up, and rarely to never do I need 1,000/2,000mA/h recharging rate. Note that the NI/MH chemistry provides .2-.3V less than standard batteries, which works fine for almost everything I use them in. Yes, flashlights would be slightly dimmer for example, not to the extent I can even tell. To not buy countless disposable batteries I’m totally okay with that! Most devices that have a battery status indicator will show these as not 100% full also due to the lower voltage. These batteries handle high current demands very well (flashlights), and good overall life for slow drain devices (remote controls). I’ve been using some for years, only buying more as my needs increase. Even after years, I’ve not had to retire even one of these batteries!
