Good quality set
We decided it was time to replace our old flatware set...the set was feeling flimsy and some of the spoons got caught in the garbage disposal. I wanted service for 12, something not too pricey (this is flatware not silver) but not cheap either. This set not only serves 12 but includes a hostess set, which is a nice added bonus. The utensils clean nicely in the dishwasher. I wanted a simple pattern, no nooks and crannies in the design. The set feels sturdy and heavy. Very happy with this set!

Perfect for Poets & Engineers
When it became obvious that at least half of our 1982-vintage flatware had taken a few too many spins in the garbage disposal, I launched an internet search for a replacement set. I wanted sleek and comfortable, featuring a design that would please both the engineers and the poets in the family. Oneida Mooncrest meets all of those requirements, and I've been pleased with its quality and appearance. The set is not what I would call delicate; utensils are heavier than our previous set but not inappropriately so. My 95-year-old, 100-pound mother uses a salad fork as a dinner fork and a teaspoon as a soup spoon because they're better suited to her hand size but the rest of the family finds the weight/size perfectly suitable. We like the flatware so much I've purchased a container to keep it out of the garbage disposal while it's awaiting transport to the dishwasher.

Don't buy Oneida on Amazon, Oneida will not honor warranty
Most of the 65 piece set I bought was fine. I'd love to give this a better review, but two of the serving pieces were defective (one has a burr on the handle that's sharp and the serving spoon has a part where the grain of metal goes opposite the rest of the spoon and is rough and discolored). There was also a dinner fork with light pitting along the handle that I'm less concerned about. I immediately contacted Oneida according to the warranty instructions on the box as well as the instructions on Amazon's return page to have just the defective pieces replaced. Unfortunately, Oneida will not honor the warranty. I feel cheated, and perhaps you think I'm overreacting, but I bought Oneida specifically because of their warranty.
