Very nice chuck
I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and finish of this chuck. The jaws were tight and it was ground all over. Great value, works great, could not be happier.

Doesn’t come with hardware to mount it on a Vevor lathe!
Works good. It’s a four jaw chuck so accuracy is what ever you want it to be. One aggravating thing. I have a Vevor lathe that came with a 5” 3 jaw chuck. This is a 5” Vevor 4 jaw chuck. You’d think they would supply hardware that would allow it to be mounted on a Vevor lathe! But no, it came with 3 (need 4 for mounting) Allen head cap screws. To mount this chuck on a Vevor lathe you need 4 headless hex bolts (essentially 35mm long set screws M8x1.25 x 35mm) and 4 M8 nuts.

Good chuck
This chuck is awesome. For the price you cannot beat it. I am super happy with it and quality was really good. There's been nothing to complain about it.

Take the chuck and faceplate off before you order a different one.!
The New chuck looks great. Because apparently I over tightened the EXISTING faceplate so tight that we weren't able to get it off. The only place to get ahold required a medium Pipe wrench .But even though it gripped it, when we put enough pressure on the Existing chuck with a 4ft long, one inch pipe, it turned the shaft inside the pipe wrench. So rather than breaking something we decided to leave it alone. Now since I'm so far over on the return I would like to sell the 4 chaw chuck I ordered.

Very nice chuck for the money.
my only alteration was drilling the back with a 3 bolt pattern to fit my backing plate. The bolt up went well and the self centering machining on the chuck fit. Lathe runs at 1200 rpm with no vibration and the Jaws have a good stability.Don't write many reviews but i feel this one deserves it.

fully independent jaws, not self-centering
The product seems good quality but I am rating 3 because the description is misleading. I was seeking a self-centering chuck. I saw the keyword "self centering" in multiple ares of the product description, and I saw a breakout diagram in the product images (in two locations) where a spline disc is shown to drive all four jaws together, effectively giving self-centering function. But, the product has FULLY INDEPENDENT jaws, and it has zero functionality of a self-centering lathe chuck. As a beginner with these parts of tools, this description is misleading and I wish Vevor would include a PDF manual in the downloads so we can verify exactly what we are getting before ordering. My photos show how the jaw moves fully independently and the splines that drive the jaw are not interconnected.
