I purchased this adapter because I've had one that "looks" exactly like it for a few years now and it works flawlessly. but after purchasing this one I found that it looks like my old adapter, but has a different chip in it. My original adapter I bought had a ralink chip in it and worked plug and playwith Linux. This new one I just bought has a realtek rtl8192 chip in it and I have as of two days of working on it have not been able to get it to work with Linux 32 or 64bit Kali Linux rolling fully updated. The supplied driver does not work for me. After trying quite a few other drivers nothing has worked so far.I'm not giving the adapter a bad review because it works great and installed easily with Windows. Testing it with Windows it had great reception and speed. Just letting you Linux people know you may or may not have a fight on your hands getting it working..Update:.Yes I wasn't paying attention to the small print when I bought this adapter it works with Linux kernel 2.6, that kernel was introduced somewhere around 2003. If you're using a Linux version that old you're in luck. You're better off buying the same adapter with the 3070 chip that will work out of the box with Linux.
