Works. Good price.
Compatible with the two different PID controllers i use. Reads temperatures in water, molten salts, molten lead, matching the resadings I get from other probes. I haven't tried it in meat. Threads are metric. May be better to connect with the terminals furnished instead of plugs, certainly easier.

Works Great with Raspberry Pi & Python for Oven Controller – Accurate & Easy to Use
Used this MAX31855 K-type thermocouple adapter with a Raspberry Pi and the T-PRO probe (also on Amazon) for my DIY oven controller. It worked great—accurate, stable readings even at 450°F. ChatGPT helped me write the Python code using Adafruit_GPIO and Adafruit_MAX31855. Here's the script: import time from Adafruit_GPIO import SPI from Adafruit_MAX31855 import MAX31855 sensor = MAX31855(clk=11, cs=8, do=9) while True: temp_f = sensor.readTempC() * 9.0 / 5.0 + 32.0 print(f"Temperature: {temp_f:.2f} °F") time.sleep(1) I built a Flask web dashboard with graphing and PID control. Just note: the board uses 3.3V logic and has no screw terminals—use solid Dupont or solder. If you're building a Raspberry Pi temperature controller or logger, this adapter and probe combo is a solid choice.

for composting I put it on the end of a 4' copper pipe
I got a thermocouple reader and mounted this on the end of a 4' pipe to see the internal temperatures of my 10,000 pound compost piles. IT works Great.

SUPER FAST DELIVERY
The product arived in good condition and is exactly what the descrition said it would be. Thank you.

Inexpensive and Accurate
If you need a longer probe this inexpensive K thermocouple is working well for me. My readings are within a half of degree of accuracy which is good enough for my needs and so far it has continued to work.

K-Type, backup
Better to have a couple of extra K-types than to get running and have your SINGLE unit fail. I'll never only have one on hand again.

Accuracy
Bought two of these. Units rated for 400 degrees Celsius and since it is typed k thermocouple, it's rated accuracy is +/- 2.2 degrees Celsius. As a calibration technician, I found the units to be accurate up to approximately 300 degrees Celsius at which point accuracy decreased to +/- 18 degrees Celsius. Unit is unusable over 300 degrees Celsius.

Temperature is accurate, quality is not bad, but delivery is too slow, more than 2 weeks with $20+ shipping fee.
