Look No Further!
I looked long and hard for this item. My Mom needed a raised toilet seat like the ones they have at the hospital and rehab facilities. This one is as close as you can get. We don’t use it as a commode so the bucket was redundant but can be used elsewhere. Neither did we find it necessary to use the shield that fits inside the toilet. We did not find that we needed to use the top bar either. The legs have an adjustable height that allows us to raise it just over the existing toilet seat with the toilet lid up. It is very lightweight and easy to lift the entire unit off for regular toilet use. It is very comfortable to sit on and the side handles are a stable assist for her. We’ve only had it for two weeks but so far I am very satisfied.

a most important part of home care
I ordered this commode chair for my wife as she was getting weaker day by day and though she protested at my buying it (or master bath was just a short step from our bed) I insisted we would need it. We did. When the time came it came quick and this chair saved a bit of effort and afforded my wife safety. I am glad I bought it. Sturdy (she was a bit heavy) and well balanced never tipped or caused her to lose balance or grip. The chair was on a tight-pile carpeted floor but it sat firm to the carpet. Easy to clean as well. Good product, will keep it for when I may need it in the future.

Low profile commode with padded seat
This was the only commode with padded seat I found online that could be set lower (down to 17" including thickness of seat) for shorter persons. It could use better quality control, however. Where the back frame connects with the main frame on one side, the hole is on the inside while the pin is on the outside. Otherwise, happy with the commode.

The only thing padded is the seat!
My wife has to be carried to be moved. I ordered it for her comfort. The seat is really good for her, but the rest of the item having plastic hand rails is terrible. The picture was deceiving. My fault though, guess I should have read more. Used noodles to soften up the sides and back of the chair. Was not worth the price paid.

Perfect for Our Needs
My husband's 96 year old aunt lives with us. The seat fits perfectly over the commode making it easier for her to be safe and independent. The cushioned seat makes it more comfortable for her as well. I also love the fact that it can convert to a bedside commode. Hopefully we will never need it, but just in case - it's nice to be prepared. Very happy with our purchase.

Works Great!
Seat is comfortable with a cushion -- arm rests are very supportive - Able to bear full weight to assist with standing. We have a very small bathroom with an elongated commode --- this folding commode was used sideways and works ideally - not taking up much room at all Very sturdy and nicely fits making the most of our small space. Easily removed to be stored in our shower. My husband, who is a tetraplegic, is finally able to use our commode. I highly recommend!

Comfortable chair. Fits in smaller bathrooms.
The only thing we did not like is the stabilizing bar at back of chair makes it sit to far away from back of toilet so the seat would not go directly over toilet. You have to take lid and toilet seat off to accommodate. We used a different stabilizer bar so we would not have to remove the seat of our toilet. Not all of us need commode seat in our family.

Great chair, but maybe not for the elderly
My 96 year old mother would have been better of without the divid at the front of the seat. Her bony little butt ended up in the divide.I thought I could try her on the chair ( I kept it in the plastic) and return it. It turned out that it was returnable, but cost me eighteen plus dollars to send it back.
