Cooper Campbell 0702024 Porch Swing Chain Assembly with Hooks

The quality seems fine. The description on Amazon doesn't give you the dimensions of the chain segments. The picture is not accurate. The chains measure about 54" from the top to the split "Y" and 31" for each of the two lower chains. This is typical of most of what's out there, but I needed the lower chains to be much longer as is shown in the picture. :-(

I have had my swing for many years- hanging using plastic coated wire. It was fine but the plastic aged and cracked and began to slip so the swing was mostly used for package deliveries. With the new chain and springs it has a new life. I wish I’d done this years ago. One caution though. This is the hanging hardware only. I made several trips to the hardware store to get what I needed to connect it to the swing.

This porch swing chain set was exactly what I needed for my porch swing. It is rated for 500 lbs which should be plenty for most and comes with the lag bolts to mount it to the rafter overhead. These chains are 7 ft long when spread out and when used with these heavy duty springs  Backyard Recess - 2 Heavy Duty 8.5" Barrel Shaped Hammock Chair Springs for Porch Swings and Hanging Chairs  they work perfect for ceilings up to 10 ft depending on where the chains mount to your swing. I highly recommend getting the springs also to make the swing more comfortable and not so rigid. I saw Lowes had a similar chain set for a porch swing but it was $5 more than what I paid for on here and they weren't in stock anyhow.

The original chains on our old porch swing were rusted and the bushings had deteriorated so that they made so much noise it was not used. These replacement chains made our sturdy, still in great shape, much loved swing like new again. Now our swing is back in service.
