It Does the Job IF you're using it correctly
I am a hair color professional with very thick coarse Asian hair. I've been using wella 3N for my stubborn grey roots for at least a year now every 4 to 5 weeks when my greys are no more than a half inch long. I have no issues with it whatsoever. The trick is to use the product correctly. That is, using the exact ratio 1:2 with the 20 volume creme developer and saturate each of the 4 quadrant section by section with no more than an inch apart from the previous section. The saturating is very crucial in getting an even distribution of the color and to cover all the grays. After that it's fully completed I then use a shower cap to keep the heat from the scalp and moisture insulated to prevent the color from drying out as well. Set the timer for 45 min no less to fully process the color. Rinse and shampoo with a color treated shampoo, condition and voila. All greys covered. NOTE: If your hair turns green, that is bc your hair needs to be filled with a red based color or filler before dying it to a dark brown. Also if there are grays still present that is bc the hair wasn't fully saturated and the time to process wasn't long enough. Hope this helps!!

Love it
Beautiful color, has golden shades that makes your hair looking fantastic. And covers gray perfectly.

BEST HAIR DYE THERE IS
IF you want your hair a beautiful dark brown color, this will last for a long time, very deep color and i highly recommend this brand for the brunette girls. at least 1 or 2 shades away from black. i use this every 6 month or so. Love it. will keep on purchasing.

Beautiful color with slight highlights
This was easy to apply with the proper developer, brush and bowl. The color is a nice rich espresso tone and some slightly lighter highlights. I absolutely LOVE the color! Note: prep your skin to prevent staining or have a hair color stain remover on hand.

Great colour
Used to dye my mom’s hair. Works perfect and cheaper than going to the salon.

Soft shiny hair
As expected this comes out dark like others said….although, to get a softer and more coppery effect I mixed 1/4 of this with 3/4 terracotta 6R…it’s a tad darker then my natural colour, definitely recommend as this left softer hair with a beautiful dark copper/mahogany shineCouple months later, colour is still shiny and vibrant….just touched up my roots today, resulting in beautiful, seamless, glossy hair

Great coverage but slightly drying
I've been using WELLA Color Charm Permanent Gel Color for a few months now, and overall, I'm pretty happy with it. My natural hair is a dark brunette with some stubborn grays, and this product does an excellent job covering them up. The color is rich, lasts a long time, and truly lives up to its "fade-resistant" claim. Even after several washes, my hair still looks vibrant and fresh. However, I did notice that my hair feels a bit drier than usual after using it, which is why I'm not giving it five stars. I’ve started using a deep conditioning treatment to help with that, and it's made a difference. If you're prone to dry hair, I’d recommend adding in some extra hydration to your routine.Overall, this is one of the better at-home hair dyes I’ve tried, especially for gray coverage. It’s affordable, easy to apply, and gets the job done. Will definitely keep using it!

Not as expected
Rather than just red/gold undertones, it seems to have a fair amount of violet, so it does not make any kind of natural tone of ginger. Also, definitely closer to a level 6 than an 8.I tried to mix with a 9g to keep it lighter/ golder but somehow that made it seem even more purple/ashy
