Right out of the box the screen is cracked! Can't even try it out.The case is pretty sturdy and snug, though, but I simply can not leave a higher rating if part of my purchase is literally shattered.UPDATE 7/21/19:Added the four latter photos. Was able to get a replacement and got it all put on fine.Reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the instructions included. The instructions for cleaning the screen and putting on the protector was only in Chinese, not to mention it didn't even mention all of the parts. It came with a blue translucent sticker which it never mentioned, but I believe it was for using on the screen to remove all the dust.They supplied a tiny microfiber cloth- just enough to grasp with your fingertips- and an alcohol prep pad. The prep pad cleaned pretty well, however after a few times of using the sticker to remove dust and then the pad to inevitably clean it again, it was leaving streaks. I ended up using some Windex on the cloth and that got it spot free- with the exception of some dust left over from the cloth because the protector ended up with a large piece of dust that I didn't notice. In the end it was simple to apply the protector and I wasn't expecting it, but I got it on perfectly. Perfect fit.In the end, I'm happy with this purchase; was just left a little in the dark about what was included for cleaning.UPDATE 9-30-19:Took me a while to get around to this. So, back around mid August when I was cleaning the screen some glass cleaner accidentally slipped underneath the screen protector. (surprisingly easily and quickly, might I add) So, since it basically ruined the adhesive underneath and made the screen unusable since it wouldn't dry, I decided to remove it. Thing is, it was like it was WELDED. The adhesive is way too strong to be used to apply a glass screen protector. I tried and tried to get it off, looking online for all the methods I could find to getting it off easily, but it just wouldn't budge. Even went as far as not caring whether or not it got chipped and after trying credit cards and thin knives I eventually settled with trying to get some thread underneath one of the corners, which also didn't work for a time, it was just that stuck. The only way I was able to get it off was to chip it, use that chip to my advantage to be able to get some thread underneath (which kept constantly snapping), and slowly drag it back and forth to loosen it. Eventually I was able to lift it up with the thread enough to get a corner of a credit card underneath and, adding more glass cleaner to dissolve the adhesive, was able to fit it underneath and, completely shattering the lower half, pry it off my screen without causing any harm to the device. Miraculously.Do not use the screen protector. Go get a screen protector like Skinomi or something. Definitely not worth the trouble. I'm still using the case, though. At least something in this package still works without causing harm to my device.

The case, like most I would think, help make the phone less slippery in the hands. It provides some girth to make the phone easier to hold. It fits the TCL LX well, but not securely as other cases I have used. The phone simply slides and then pops into the case. But there isn't any locking mechanism to hold the phone in place. It's basically a single hard plastic piece instead of a multi-piece case that wraps around the phone like other phone cases.A seller adds a bonus. It comes with a scratch-resistant screen cover which is made from real glass. The plus side is that it makes swiping with your fingers across the screen smoother than if it were plastic. Less friction and easier glide. The downside is that it can be likely to shatter. Installing is requires careful application not to bend it otherwise it will shatter before it is fully applied. So it offers protection against keys and other sharp objects but it will provide no protection against a drop.For now, I am fine with it because it is an inexpensive phone and comically, it helps hide the phone making it look less "cheap". I say comically because so many buyers buy expensive flagship phones costing over $1,000 USD and then insert it into a plastic case making it look generic. I have seen other cases on Amazon with better protection and if I had to buy again, I probably would choose one of Amazon's many alternatives. Some of those alternatives seem to offer better protection while asking slightly less from your wallet.

This is an initial review due to my purchase being so recent. I purchased this phone case for my elderly uncle who is constantly dropping his cell phones and shattering the screens. He's disabled and receives a monthly check and can’t afford an expensive phone so he opts for those free government phones. We’d discovered that protective cases for these phones are very hard to find but we had to try. He truly expected the case to be a dud like our previous purchases but this one fit perfectly! The glass screen protector was also a pleasant surprise. It was easy to install and I had zero issues with bubbling. The rear of the case is hard and sturdy while the softer plastic sides while thick are pliable enough that he can remove the phone from the case if he needs to. We are both very happy with this purchase.

Perfect fit for my free phone. *grin* I have yet to put it to the drop test, and I have no plans to, but the case is firm yet rubbery, and the glass, well, hopefully it will break before the screen. Maybe I shouldn't worry about a phone that came free (refurbished) with my TracFone plan, but it gives me peace of mind that I won't be inconvenienced by a minor accident. I think there is one spot under the glass, which surprises me because I didn't remove the plastic from the phone until I was ready to mount the screen protector, and I then cleaned it thoroughly with the alcohol pad. But even then, you can only see it in certain light.Now, if I ever drop it and it does fail to protect the phone, I may revise this review, but right now, my phone looks like everyone else's.

I have an Alcatel TCL, which is hard to find a case for as it's an older, and off-brand, model phone. Basically, this was the only option I found. The holes at the top don't match on the phone and the phone case, and the case is a little bit longer than the phone, so the phone slides up and down in the case like a rattle toy. But, it's better than nothing, and since nothing else was available; it'll do.

The case looks good. It fit the phone correctly and appears to be made well. Not much else to say except that I would buy it again from this seller if I needed another case.
